Thanks for the informative tutorial! For those encountering the "RuntimeError: Working outside of application context" error when running db.create_all(), here's a solution: 1. Add app.app_context().push() before the class definition. 2. Import app and db from your application. 3. then, db.create_all() again. This should resolve the issue, and you'll find a new "instance" directory created with todo.db inside.

I will tell you, the file todo.db would have been already created, you can find it under file instance. it will not be created inside the main directory flask2021.

@@a2thegenius343 @chiraggupta4651 Add with app.app_context(): above db = SQLAlchemy(app) like this: with app.app_context(): db = SQLAlchemy(app) and when using the commands do this: python >>> from app import app, db >>> app.app_context().push() >>> db.create_all() This will create the database in a folder called instance. After that everything just works fine. :)

Hi Harry. Your Flask tutorial is quite good. I want to say that, I am performing all of the above codes in PyCharm and at 45:03 , I am facing a problem. While typing " from app import db", I am facing an error, which is, " 'from' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.". Even after changing the path through advanced system settings, same error occurs. I will be grateful, if you could help out in resolving my problem.

I have successfully deployed the todo app on Heroku but I am experiencing some problem during deploying, I had 2 records in the todo app (first and second). after deploying, I changed the records to something else and it was reflected in every device but after 2-3 hours, the records were changed back to first and second. can someone help me in understanding why is this happening?
