The ARX-160 from Ghosts. Although i loved to use that gun (and it was my favorite), it's pretty much a close quarters AR, due to its high recoil. It was a bit of a challenge, but a lot of fun.

All aether maps excluding classified( i think) has the thompson in bo4 and the thompson is also in bo2 origins. Zombie chronicles also has the thompson on origins ( and maybe on some other maps, cant remember) Also i think bo1 remastered waw maps had the thompson wall buyif i remember correctly. The mp40 definitely made up for the recoil with power. That's what I loved about older cods the weapons were minimal in number and simple so balancing the guns was easier. 4 smgs with different characteristics mp40 powerful alot of recoil, pphsh fast shooting moderate recoil moderate damage, Thompson powerful and high recoil but not as high as mp40 & I cant remember the type 100's behaviour but I'm sure it has some pros and cons.

There is a massive difference between high recoil and a gun being difficult to control. The bo2 Scorpion Evo has high recoil but only vertical and very controlable
