Evolution Studios was one of my all time favourite studios (still is) and fun fact; I studied to become a games developer and someone from Evolution Studios came to our college in Australia to talk about Motorstorm Apocalypse and what their goals were and why they made it the way they did, they were trying to make the most successful racing game ever by looking at the charts of what games sell the big numbers which was basically just Call of Duty at the time so they added the city and explosions and more grittiness and marketed it that way. We also got to play an early build of the game.

I'm not sure if MotorStorm had an arcade title but man it'd be mind numbing in a good way You sit in and your ears are blasted with these DnB songs and absolute chaos from the seat speakers You start playing and the steering wheel is shaking constantly, vibrations almost never ending, then you walk away like you just left an entirely different planet for a few minutes

This is a low budget - high budget video I wasn't expecting to see, I'm not even into racing games. BUT GODDANG, THIS IS A GOOD VIDEO, AND THE EXCITEMENT IS PALPABLE.

Personally this has to be one of my favorite videos of Noodle, being one of those people who grew up playing Motorstorm apocalypse, it's amazing to see not only the whole history of the company but a point of view of the game that i also share, which makes me want to play the game again

Motorstorm feels like a puzzle game disguised as racing games, I love it so much. The open nature of the track encourages experimentation, which route you shall take in order to get faster and maximize your winning chance. Its also really exhilarating when your planned route got fucked just because a total bad luck, forcing you to adapt to the situation fast. Like for example you're riding motorcycle that should've stayed on higher grounds but due to unlucky circumtances you're here in the mud pit, sliding all over the place trying not to slam into a rock in the next sharp corner while also dodging trucks and mudpluggers that will crush you into tiny pieces just because they can. There's no game in this world that can provide that type of experience, other than motorstorm.

This video is the kind of chaotic speech energy I have devolved into over the past 7 or 8 years. I feel so perceived with this. It's also funny to me because for a while, I've thought of making my video essays in a very laid-back style like Somecallmejohnny, but recently have been considering the polar opposite approach of this very chaotic and off-the-walls style. This video perfectly finds a middle ground of those two, not by meeting in the middle, but by VIOLENTLY switching between the two at break-neck speeds. Thank you for inspiring me, as I am now going to make this everyone's problem (:

Now searching for Motorstorm on Spotify. Thankyou for granting me knowledge of such Music. Your art style is, once again, why I'm still subscribed to you. This video reminded me of when good TV existed, for the brief time that it still did... Please continue granting me with childhood classics, music and games, onwards.

I don't care about racing games at all but I have rewatched this video an obscene amount of times since it was uploaded, I don't even know what to call this kind of humor, the non-sequiturs, phonetic subversions, absolute chaos and post-irony memery. This silly video about racing games has made me laugh so hard I feel enlightened to a new level of humor

This video simply blew me away wow, there's so much here... I dont know you guys at all but I felt like I instantly reconnected with a big part of me growing up that I kind of left behind I've ALSO literally never heard of this studio or the Motorsport series, probably because I was an xbox loyalist fanboy (Although I had played that original WRC game at my uncles when I was a little halfling, which I do remember vividly) (I also heard of the title driveclub but at that time all racing games that looked/sounded like this just blended into one big blob to me) I grew up with my favourite movie being Speed Racer 2008, and playing Need for Madness on PC which is the closest thing in my world to these kind of games. This type of gameplay really speaks to me, and I thank you for opening me up to this world, even if I'm incredibly late... P.S. Marketing wise, this is a much better title, as I said I literally never heard of Evolution Studios so I likely would've scrolled right past. P.P.S. I didn't even get into the quality of the video essay style, suffice to say, it was refreshing and super cool, keep it up, I FEEL the passion.
