Retirement is now more difficult than it was in the past. I've been saving for a long time instead of investing, and right now I only have about $400K. considering all the inflation, i'm thinking of investing in stocks, i dont just have idea on market strategies.
@JacobMcDonald-wb6wl2 ай бұрын
The increasing prices have impacted my plan to retire at 62, work part-time, and save for the future. I'm concerned about whether those who navigated the 2008 financial crisis had an easier time than I am currently experiencing. The combination of stock market volatility and a decrease in income is causing anxiety about whether I'll have sufficient funds for retirement.

This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800k

These are extremely useful rules for anyone looking to grow rich. Unfortunately, the majority of individuals that see this video will be unable to implement the ideas. We may not like to acknowledge it, but as Warren Buffett famously stated, investing is like any other profession: it takes a certain amount of knowledge. It's no surprise that some people are losing a lot of money during the bear market, while others are profiting by hundreds of thousands. I'm just not sure how they do it. I now have around $570k to invest in the market.

Dealing across multiple asset classes can reduce risk more effectively than putting all of your money into one. If you don't understand finances properly, see a financial consultant.

I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

Good topic. Thanks, Codie, for the list. I agree with some and disagree with others. 1. Mindset - excellent 2 Principles - pass, mostly Ray talking about meritocracy. Just read between the lines to see that the system is, as always, fully gamed. 3. Money - yes, listen to this one. His voice and ideas are inspirational. 4. Side Hustle Bible - DNR, probably will 5. Economic Facts and Fallacies - move to the top of your reading list 6. Rich Dad - I guess, but as you are reading this list it's not that important 7. Zero to One - interesting, think of it as the intro to the Road to Oligarchy 8. $100 Startup - if you're rich no need, everyone else, yes 9. 48 Laws of Power - a must, should be in another list, such as "about life". Greene is an exceptional writer! 10. The $100M Offers - DNR, doubt I will 11. Never Split the Difference, yes, super fun 12. The One Thing - DNR, but now will 13. Merger Mastery - informative, but down the list. One more tool for the Oligarchy. As publicly traded companies are consumed into private equity funds and fade from view and government oversight. 14. The Long and the Short of it - DNR, probably won't 15. Mastering the VC Game - sure, if you're under 30 (maybe 25) 16. Good to Great - absolutely, groundbreaking 17. Only the Paranoid Survive - DNR, probably won't, this just becomes the general sense of things after a while. I reference back to "Principles". 18. Your Money or Your Life - DNR, probably will, looks very interesting 19 Adventure Capitalist - DNR, looks like some good ideas for a life of fun and excitement, WNR

Truth is truth. Ignore the gender. It is, after all, a woman running the channel and her own empire. What difference does the source make? Truth is truth, facts are facts.

This information is transformative & so invaluable. Depending on your existing social circles, embodying it becomes excruciating when trying to gently let go of the existing relationships in your life that are not yet willing to adopt these principles and discover new people who do. I'm still crossing this bridge, but I know that because Codie exists (and has friends she likes) these people exist & will come into my life. Your actions show the universe what to bring into your life, so if you're struggling with transitional loneliness, know that your people will come too💞

Thanks for the quick summaries and categorical timeline. Keep it coming.. Oh and yes I would like to see that video. Until next time

I am grateful you saved me sooo much money and time. I like the fact that you explain what the book is about and if we should buy hard copies or listen...ty...

It’s always good to have a financial plan. I work with a licensed planner and fixed-income strategist in LA. The fixed income portion of your portfolio won’t simply serve as a buffer to the volatility of the equity portion of your portfolio, but will provide legitimate income

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly.

The biggest problem I have with learning is that you can learn anything you want. But when you hit hurdles is likely due to the way it's explained. It's this reconstruction of the message into something you understand take work and hardship.

Not everyone's goal is to make so much money you don't know what to do with it. Many of us just want to live a comfortable life. But 100% agree with you on the growth mindset. Thanks for sharing your must read book list :)

Respect for the value you are adding to lives Cody. In the spirit of the pursuit of truth not ego… the example you gave @16.00 with taking home $750k vs $150k… it’s (as you know) 400% more, rather than 60% more. Seemingly pedantic, but really it’s simply emphasising the point that you yourself were imparting… about the need to look at the bottom line and not simply the top.
