i lost my job back in march of last year, that same night i youtubed side hustles. i found pressure washing, and that next morning i started door knocking to get any business that i could. fast forward a week and i made my first $1k. i am now 15 months into my new business, a one man show, no employees yet and i have hit the $100k mark, in the past 30 days i grossed $23k, and i couldn't be more excited for the future. i went from working 75 hours a week at a job i hate to working for myself and making more money than i thought i every would. this is a great business to get into but research is key, being as knowledgeable in the field as you can is key.

@@DanielIvan707 It's work and you can get dirty and drench. It's fun. The biggest challenge is finding customers. Like Codie said start out as at discount price. I have some neighbors who are retired and offered it for free to them for practice. Their driveway and sidewalk were so dirty. I took a before and after picture. They didn't realize how dirty their driveway and sidewalk were. They thanked me and gave me refers. I did my others neighbors and charged them. I would rather do this full time then work my 40 week job if I can get more customers. And I get more and more refers because my neighbors say I'm doing a good job.
@VideoGameRoom328 ай бұрын

Sadly, pressure washing in my market is tanking as far as ticket prices. Every marketer, and PR agency is screaming from the mountain tops "Make $2,500 a day pressure washing". So now everyone is starting a pressure washing business. Every rich kids parents are getting them set up with a wash business. I swear a broccoli hair cut is part of a wash tech uniform now a days.

Like a new Softwash Universal Remote, that is a TOTAL GAME CHANGER for the industry, but many don't know about the tools available, so they will be left behind by new competition. 5 min video of what the latest in tools looks like. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKipmKqAf8-CsLM

Seeing them shoot water up under that siding is painful to watch. Siding is not designed for water to run backwards and will leak into the walls. Not all homes have decent wrap behind the siding, this is NOT the way to clean your house. You need to scrub it with a brush and then rinse so the water runs down like rain.

"That's always the way we've done it". - This is something I avoided when starting the job I have now. I was told by the owners that I was the best person to have done the job because of avoiding this line. I had a math prof in college who honestly is one of the best teachers I ever had. He would show us how to do certain calculations like compounding for instance but go over how it works and why as well as showing the equation backwards or taking a number out to prove that no matter what, we always get the same numbers as they are all in a relationship. I applied that how and why to pretty much everything I do now. After I got familiar with the process, I started thinking of ways to improve it and even experimenting a bit to see if something can be done faster. I end up eliminating a step that wasn't necessary on one of the bigger machines we use as I found out it wasn't necessary to do unlike our smaller ones. That sentence there is probably mentioned more out of fear than out of "doing it right". Change is scary to some and it is also what holds us back from innovating and providing even more for people.
