You may need to purchase a module or retrofit. Coding usually just brings out features that are already there and just hidden or turned off. If you don’t have the part at all, I am not sure if you can code it

Yeah I just read on the Bimmerpost forum it depends on the model of your Headunit. If it turns white then like the others said you will need remote coding for it to work.
