Cody is right about Jey. If you told me Jey would be in this position in this position any time before the Bloodline saga started I would have laughed it off lol
@goby1764 Жыл бұрын
It's still laughable in terms of him getting the belt tbh
@HulkVahkiin Жыл бұрын
@@goby1764 Not really, it's honestly the timing, if this were to actually have happened at WM, it would have been much more believable as everyone would have seen it as the best closure for the Bloodline saga and Jey. Summerslam is their 2nd biggest PPV though so who knows...but I guess it's still unbelievable for Reigns to not lose the titles at any WM, lol.
@goby1764 Жыл бұрын
@HulkVahkiin Jey is just not the guy to dethrone Roman. He's part of a set of twins firstly, which would confuse casual viewers, solo is a lot more likely to do anything than him. Second, Where would you even go once jey has the belt? It just halts the bloodline story and ruins the slow decent of roman
@HulkVahkiin Жыл бұрын
@@goby1764 Sorry for the long post. If they don't even know The Usos and can't figure out who is who after one or two setting at this point - they aren't even casual viewers. They are the ones that make up a very small percantage of the fans that barely watch the product and WWE do not need to cater to them, lol. The fact you say Jey winning halts the Bloodline story and ruins Roman ''slow decent'', and even claim Solo is more likely to do anything against Roman shows you don't even know the point of the story. The main characters of the story have always been Roman *and* Jey, and Jey's uprising against Roman, have you even been paying attention? Even in Sami's part, Jey was a huge focal point in it. Jey was always meant to be at the end of the bloodline saga with Roman, him winning or losing doesn't halt or ruin anything; it's literally the point of the whole Bloodline saga. 3 years has led to this confrontation between Roman and Jey again, Solo obviously ain't the end goal or is the one more than Jey is, just because Solo is the future, lol. I'm pretty sure you can ask anyone who wins a world title ''where do you go from here?'' But the most simple, give the superstar a good title run.
@goby1764 Жыл бұрын
@HulkVahkiin ok so your point is all types of flawed because you're a fan. Wwe cares about attracting new fans and keeping numbers as high as possible. Roman reigns is a top merch seller, a near celebrity, and the face of the company. Jey uso has nowhere near that prestige and recognizability. For the same reason they won't put the belt on baron corbin ever, they won't put the belt on Jey. Both are just not primary title material. Also, like i said, twins don't have much hope aside from tag titles, especially ones that have a similar look. You have no mind for the business of the wwe, you're just spitballing your fantasy booking idea without remotely considering the reality of the situation. Jey was not meant to be the end of the bloodline at all, he's a part of it, but he's isn't a candidate for beating roman reigns. Him winning would also ruin the slow decent of roman because roman would drop the belt to somebody who isn't really champion material. Mcintyre, rhodes, and Brock all have champion charisma that jey simply does not. They will not make Jey uso the face of the company. Also yeah, believe it or not, casuals will have trouble telling jey and jimmy apart. It doesn't matter what you think. That's the reality. Jey is not a main character. If you think so then I'm sorry to tell you that you've missed the point of the bloodline's build. Finally, "just have a good title reign" is easy to say, but doing that first requires you to have a good champion. Jey is not a worthy successor to roman in terms of carrying the belt. Pretty much kills the years of work roman put in if jey takes it ultimately. Like i said even solo is a better candidate for taking the tribal chief position (not the belt)

It’s actually a great point that gets overlooked, as wrestling has become safer and less taxing on the wrestlers (compared to the 80s and 90s) you have a lot more old heads on young bodies, there’s not a huge gap between the old style of young guys who can put on great technical matches but old guys who are draws and know the psychology. You’ve basically got guys who like NWO Hogan age but can move about like Rockers Shawn Michaels.

My fellow long time fans, take the time to enjoy this moment in wrestling, I do believe it is on a trajectory to be a unique few years. One I think will be longed for in the future akin to how some long for the attitude era. Cody is right, there’s a lot of wrestlers who are on top of their game right now. That makes magic. That’s why the attitude era was so good, you had that top of the card that was absolutely in their element and it made a lot of memorable moments. Cody and his path to get where he is, The Bloodline arc, Jey Usos evolution, The Judgment Days ascension, LA Knights explosion, Sami Zayn overall, and the list goes on and on. Truly a unique time. It’s good to be a wrestling fan right now.

Only reason im more concerned now compared to then is yeah you have some late 30s guys and early 40s guys doing great things but im not seeing as many late 20s early 30s guys who look like they will take the torch i can see a few but there arent Ortons or Cenas coming in in their mid 20s and performing amazingly for there age

For those who support AEW, please understand that I don't mean this with any intended disrespect like other people may. The main issue with AEW is that unlike WWE where its an established roster full of men and women of a much more mature and experienced age, most of AEWs roster all be it of similar age have largely not worked for large companies that would teach them these things. Furthermore, the bigger picture issue is that the older guys and gals in the back rather than being listened to and appropriated are being ostracized and told that their advice is no longer valid despite all their years in the business.

Cody left Vince and ended up with the man boy TK. He left at the perfect time because he came back to HHH at the helm who also grew up.
