Wow. I’m a Sales Manager in automotive and I’m usually up late, always looking for content to sharpen my skills. I happened across this video and bro you say the same exact things I say in my automotive sales videos! Goes to show how sales are sales regardless of what you’re selling! Kudos to you brother. This video and information is fact and super relevant. Keep on doing the good work my friend.

That is so awesome that you explained the difference between empathy and sympathy. I’ve explained this to so many people in my life and they didn’t get it. They still think empathy means feeling bad or sorry for someone.

Sympathy is not just for pity or sorrow. In my humble opinion, it is better than empathy because sympathy means you feel and share the same whereas empathy means you understand where they are coming from.

Great video! I wanted to ask your opinion on something, I’ve been selling life insurance part time for 4-5 months. My issue is I can’t decide if I should leave my current job of 14 years and sell full time, I really enjoy it and I’m good at it but going commission only is a scary thing for me with a family to support. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated!

when you ask questions you are qualifying the prospect. Ask questions trying to understand their (problem) so you can then present a solution and propose a deal if you are a good fit for each other.

And how do you convince someone who has a bad experience with an insurance company or have a family or friend who had a bad experience with an insurance company to buy life insurance from you?
@srekashraff
@srekashraff 3 жыл бұрын
One should listen to the prospect's story and understand. Tell them, the book of contract is absolutely thing that you gonna go thru together with them. What ever written in the book is whatever they are taking. What ever is not in the book, they shouldnt expect to come to them. People like to compare with others' policy with a lot of riders and they tend to forget that their policy didnt include the riders. And one more thing, bad agents tend to say a lot of exciting things to the client about the product but they are actually not in the book of contract.

I would've loved to have seen this 3 months ago when I started. My mentor was just absolute hell to work with. She was always gone on vacation, she wouldn't answer my questions about specific things within the industry, she would always say "you're thinking too hard, just do what I say." She was super reassuring that she would always be there to help but when I happened on financial troubles, she made her reasoning for not helping me because "I'm not trying hard enough." When I was up to 200+ calls a day and had her entire schedule booked 4 days in a row. Fuck you Jill.
