Hey Cody, i just want to thank you. It is now almost 2 weeks after my National Championship, i am still upset about my performance and also a bit depressed. I am not able to figure out my future goals. After a long time i am watching your video, i am just felling better mental and could see a light at the end of the tunnel. So i thought of writing it down and thank you once again.

Don't spend another minute worrying or fretting over what you can't do. Think about what you CAN do! Get good food, get good sleep, and focus on technique and endurance when you can. It's almost not about speed, it is all about flip turns, streamlines, and technique. The power will follow behind it! It helps some people in the longer races to swim 50% power on the first half and then 150% on the 2nd half! But for now, focus on sleep and yourself in general! We need you at 100% for the next tournament, okay? I wanna see you back here with a BLUE ribbon! Heck yeah.

@@mrwillwgp agreed. Technique comes first, then you can work on speed!

G’day Cody! I’m and Aussie swimmer 12 years old and I wanted to say thank you. I’m a breaststroker like you and I love all three distances (50m, 100m and 200m) last year at metros (it’s like the whole city of Sydney) I won all three events. Later I had state and won all three breaststroke events as well. Earlier this year I had the school swimming comp season and here in Aus it goes the school meet, then zone which is your local council area, then regionals which is your council area and ones around it and then PSSA which is state and then nationals. I won PSSA and made the national team but nationals wasn’t on due to covid. Thank you so much for uploading these amazing videos and they are sooo fun too watch! You really help me to push through and strive for my goal to make an Olympic team. You are by far my absolute FAVOURITE swimmer and youtuber. Again thank you so much Cody for helping and entertaining so many people. Keep up the amazing work mate!

Hi Cody! I am 12 years old and love swimming. I also happen to be a breaststroker like many people that watch this channel and this may not sound big to other people but it was a big deal to me when I qualified for Junior Olympics. This was unfortunately canceled due to COVID-19 and I was devastated. I am trying to qualify again this year and watching your vlog has encouraged me to wake up early and stay up late, pushing myself to my limits. Thank you so much!

How much of you endurance do you think comes from muscular strength? I've only been swiming for about 3 weeks and I can swim 100 in about 1:20 or 1:25 and I don't feel the same kind of tired like you do when you're running. I don't feel out of breath it just feels like my back muscles are like yeah I can't do that any more

Hi Cody I’m from Australia and I’m 12. I’ve been a big fan of you since 2019, I really would like if u could do some tips and tricks on butterfly. I’ve been stuck at a 33 for 6 months and I’m trying to get to a low 32 and make my way to a 31. If u could do a video on that I would really appreciate it :D

Do you work the underwaters? Kick both ways (up and down)? More efficient technique (what's your stroke count)? How often do you breath? Also work the dives and finishes. Just a few things to think about in training.

@Flipper2704
@Flipper2704 3 жыл бұрын
@@notgreezq815 Something to potentially work towards is breathing only 3 or 4 times in the 50 and then eventually get to the point where you don't breath at all. The less you move your head the less drag. You just gotta make sure you're not losing speed because you run out of air. So it's breathe as little as you can without slowing down, if that makes sense.
