Coe Show Nitro O.S 105 HZR Bearing Replacement and Flight

Thought I would show you guys how I can fix anything if I want to bad enough. This is a O.S 105 HZR from Horizon Hobby. I decided to pull out some old nitro Helis. This old Align 700xn is a heavy old girl but still flies. I can tune the engine for the next flights. But you can see it runs well. I’ll add a little more headspeed later too. I followed your process to a ‘T’ but can’t get the crankshaft and bearing to push all the way into the case. Any tips?

Heat the case to 350 again. Put the bearing in the freezer all night and put a drop of oil on outside of bearing before you drop it in. Use crank to pop it in.

There is no way that the piston and ring in this video was in that motor as long as that rear Bering. No way

Yes it was. Shitty Morgan Nitro turns into water in the motor and rusts the bearing. Run VP. That won’t happen. It has an additive to keep corrosion from happening as much.

@@CoeShow619 I run VP and honestly I’ve ran all fuels. the bearing on the video would look just like any mother bearing run for a about a season but that’s not what I’m referring to. I was talking about the piston and ring and possibly sleeve as not run as long as that bearing
