Hello Freddy, just bought a align 600 nitro kit, and I was in thought about os 50 or 55, but yes, the price is big between the two, so I ended up do the same thing as you. I am waiting for my new os50 engine and I will put the 50 black muffler from align. Thanks for your reviews. 👍👍

Airplane and Heli engine are different for the Nitro application.

I tried using a 55AX in a 50 size helicopter and it didn’t worked out well. I had to cut the prop shaft for it to fit the heli flywheel but the engine kept getting flooded. Maybe I needed to change out the carb too but I ended up calling it quits and getting a real helicopter motor.

I have an OS 50 on my 600 shuttle evo. i’m trying to get as quiet as possible and I have been searching and searching for a muffler. That is the quietest. I can find. I ended up putting the stock muffler back on. It seems to be the quietest any information you can give me on a muffler that is quieter than the original stock muffler I would so kindly appreciate a little loss and power is not a concern for me, for I only do scale flying. I am a fairly newbie to the hobby.lol

Hello Freddy, would you let me know what speed I need to spin the starter to get the .50 fired up? Would a standard power drill at ~1500rpm be sufficient?

Honestly buddy be as slow and soft as possible. I literally just give the trigger a quick and easy squees and she fires right up (this is assuming the fuel to oxygen mix is set correctly and you have a good glow plug). I have never had to use one of the super starters that crank really hard. I have always just used a drill and gave it some nice soft love lol

im just getting into nitro I recently got a raptor 30 v2 with an os32 I was wondering what the next size up os engine from the 32 is and whats the largest size i should throw in the rapy with out changing anything? im poor ... lol cant afford a 700 nitro

Hay freddy, i have also this engine and fly in my velocity 50. now i had to change the main bearing, but because of the expensiv prices for the original bearings i made use of china c3 bearings. The just cost 2€ per peace. do you have any experiences with those chinis cheap bearings in that motor or in any nitro motor? Thanks greetings from germany

Yes the bigger heli the more stable the heli becomes due to the extra weight, 600's are so much fun to fly.
