Yes, on the 4th of July there's a huge firework show if you didn't know! Also, the reason I know this is because I was born in coeur d' alene and still live there to this day! There's also many other events that only happen in coeur d' alene and not in any other towns/cities in the region!

@@klyskiboi 🤔 after traveling to so many places, I actually feel much more “free” in CDA than in many other cities and states. I can see your point of view, but I can also see it from the other side, what hagadone did for CDA can be interpreted in multiple ways, but from the outside it is a thriving city, thousands of jobs and oportunities, it is clean and beautiful and of course all of that comes at a price, and I think that’s a lot of people that remember how it was don’t like the direction it is going 🤷‍♂️

Just for fun, my journey to this video: I am playing a video game on PC called American Truck Simulator, which basically simulates the truck driving experience throughout the American West; you make deliveries and build a trucking empire. I had a delivery with this city as the destination and I had never heard of it, so I decided to search KZbin for it and stumbled onto this video. Well made video, gorgeous city. Subbing to the channel, very interesting

Thank you for the wonderful video of Coeur d' Alene, I've lived in Seattle my entire life, 70 years, it used to be a great place to live, now I detest it. Seattle is full of crime, high living costs, homeless everywhere and a insipid liberal government that is inept and corrupt. I will retire soon and leave Seattle forever and good riddance. I will be moving to Coeur d' Alene or a small town very close to it and end my days in peace and beauty and away from the liberal nightmare of Seattle. I look forward to the many hiking and walking trails, boating in the lake and away from the liberal buffoons. Again, thank you for the preview of my future home, everyday i dream of living there and leaving the nightmare I live in now.

Unfortunately CDA is now going downhill. Recent parks trashed, murder and shootings in CDA and Post Falls. You need 500K now for a home. Want land? Good luck, there is none. If you find it, well drilling is 2 years back logged. Tyrants run the sherif office and courts. City has very high cases of pancreatic cancer. Lake CDA is sweet but forget boating in summer, way to many people and the water is like the ocean. August is usually destroyed by wildfire smoke.

This is my hometown. I was born and raised here. I was curious about what people say if they just visit/vacation here! If you are thinking of moving here please be aware that our housing market is super inflated, our infrastructure just seems to get worse by the month, and there's a lot of issues with bigotry. I performed at our Pride in The Parks just last June and we had a couple men walking around the outskirts of the park with assault rifles. Then the infamous group of 30 men that actively planned to intimidate/riot our festivities. I have also been actively harassed by multiple people on separate occasions for wearing some black eyeliner (im a guy), having a pride flag on my water bottle, and having a BLM pin on my hat. Like, it's no joke. They are pretty ruthless. Thankfully I was in pretty public locations for all interactions so nothing really went too far. (I'm not confrontational at all so that helped im sure) (im also 5'4. so. I don't really have a choice lol)

I lived in CDA for years, I worked at Bardenay’s, cedars and now I do some seasonal work for a few businesses downtown, winter is a bit grey for me so I don’t live there any more 😅, valid points. Sadly we live in a world where people tend to complicate things 🤷 not only for themselves but for others because of engrained beliefs or opinions etc, I haven’t found a place where that isn’t the case 😅, I do have to say CDA is one of those “little cities” where I’ve always felt safe, walking downtown, day or night, there’s other cities I wouldn’t go out at night at all 😅 then again we all have different perspectives! Thanks for sharing

I suppose it depends on the type of job. I know a lot of businesses that are In desperate need of help, service industry is struggling due to the lack of people waiting to work. Im not sure about all the jobs but for example the restaurants in the area have great jobs with great potential for a good income.

Ive made 2 videos featuring my favorite restaurants and locals favorites, great food for a small city, haven’t found that in many places, at least 30 great places to eat in a few square miles I find that to be amazing!

Is this town racist like America sees it ? It has came to spotlight years ago about it.

not in my experience, like in every other place theres good and bad people, but the majority here is GOOD. I'm not from CDA, Im from Costa Rica, and I've always felt welcomed in this town. The news needs negativity to thrive, reality cane a lot different

@@son-in-law7372 I lived in Worley for a few years its in the Reservation, I noticed most people there chose to stay in the reservation, north Idaho in general is mostly white, that doesn't mean it is a racist placer a place that doesn't welcome other cultures. In my experience (and I have a lot of traveling under my belt) I would say the cultures choose not to come here for a variety of reasons, the weather, political climate, job availability, and much more, but not because of racism

@@wollertz once again. You look Caucasian. So you would get treated as white in white towns. But kinda how they say take a walk on my shoes to see that's what I mean . If they see me they know I'm Mexican or latino . But if they see you then see you as white at first till you tell them or speak Spanish

@@son-in-law7372 I would say its not so much the color of the skin but how the person behaves. When I go to a different place I don't bring my beliefs with me, I open to others beliefs and if I don't like them I go somewhere else, in Costa Rica it is acceptable to blast music at very loud levels from your house, I wouldn't do that in CDA, behavior is what gets responses. you want to feel like people are attacking you and being racist by being the victim that's causing the issue go-ahead, but that's not reality

What he is showing you is the CDA resort or the .25 miles on strip right in front of it where everything is 100% more expensive that normal. As an Idahoan I fee you need to know the truth. Great lake, but its like bumper cars out there, not joking. There are not literally 1,000,000 things to do here. Everything he showed you, you can throw a rock and hit the CDA resort. Evertyhing else, well, its north Idaho. Dont buy in to the lie unless you are one of those billionar types that wants to live in an condo 23 stories off the ground on the strip. There is real life happening here and real life crime spilling over from Spokane, Washington, just 25 minutes away. This man bun is just trying to make money.

Not sure how you think I'm making money 🤔I'm not selling anything, Downtown CDA is the most recognized which is why I filmed there, I also went down to mineral ridge, CDA lake drive to Higgins Point, also Riverstone and around 95. the truth is what you make it, There no deception here. If there's crime, I've only seen it at the gas pumps. this place is not for everyone, specially now with the price of everything rising, but that's not limited to North Idaho, thats life everywhere.

Agreed. I grew up there in the 90s and early 2000s and he showed maybe 2% of CDA. My mom still lives there and she’s been pushed to the low income housing because of what tourism has turned it into. It’s sad.

They had an aryan brotherhood march down the center of Main Street Coeur d' Alene when I lived there 18 years ago. My parents still live there. You couldn't drag me back. Don't try to raise kids there. Don't try to have a baby there. All the doctors are leaving the state. Appalachia looks more promising....
