CoEvolve Northern Star is the highest rated green building in Karnataka with a Platinum Rating from Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). It has been selected as the most sustainable residential community in the Asia Pacific Region by the World Green Building Council (WGBC).
Spread over 1.65 Acres, it has 130 apartments (1 BHK, 2 BHK & 3 BHK). Located at Thanisandra, North Bangalore, It has recieved Occupancy Certificate and is ready to move in. The project is completed 13 months ahead of schedule.
Ever since Co-Evolve Northern Star was just a seed in our minds, our core philosophy has been “future-ready”.
Bangalore - a megacity with shrivelling lakes and lacking any major river. If we were to develop a new, thriving community here, water self-sufficiency would be paramount in all our designs.
We had the opportunity to build from the ground up, so rather than dipping our toes in the water, we dove in headfirst and designed a sustainable, self-sufficient infrastructure.
Two-and-a-half years later, Co-Evolve Northern Star stands as a testament to the sustainable future we can build together.
We are now a Platinum-rated green building, certified by the Indian Green Building Council.
Each year, the complex saves more than 25.2 million litres of fresh water.
Conserves over 3 lakh units (300,000 kWh) of electricity.
And reduces our carbon footprint by 242 tonnes.
Operational carbon reduced by 242 tonnes annually.
The pillars of our sustainability efforts are in Water Management, Energy Management, and Waste Management.
We are proud to have been featured in a United Nations case study on “Crafting communities for change in a megacity” primarily for our state-of-the-art water recycling infrastructure.
It consists of a dual plumbing system which processes grey and black water separately. This way, we can reuse as much as 65% of the waste water that otherwise flows into the drainage system.
This is in addition to rainwater harvesting and other, smart fixtures, including Internet of Things-based water meters.
Co-Evolve Northern star features a Zero Carbon footprint Waste Management System.
The state-of-the-art Sewage Treatment Plant from ECOSTP treats sewage without any chemicals or electricity.
Waste is managed onsite using Organic Waste Convertors that do not consume any electricity.
Solar panels generate power, which we sell to BESCOM (Bangalore’s electricity company) for credits.
Common areas are lit entirely by LEDs, controlled by a series of timers and sensors, to optimise usage.
Part of the power for those common area lights comes from windmills on the roofs.
High-performance Saint Gobain glass saves air conditioning costs.
We also have 10 Electric Vehicle recharging stations, allowing residents the opportunity for a low-impact commute.
These are just a few of the sustainable features that are simply part of everyday life at Northern Star, which altogether save the community a sizable Rs. 68 Lakh a year.
That’s over Rs. 51,000 per apartment.
