Not sure of the law in texas, but I am pretty sure most states you can tell the officer to fuck off since it is not on public property. It is owned by the mall. @Cynical Asshole the law is different in every state, but here in Texas where this video was shot, you are required to get a inspection for any year unless you are getting antique plates. I just registered my 91 gmc last month had the current rules explained to me because they had recently changed. Even if i had got the classic plates, it still required inspection.

So here's the thing, you can have a car without an inspection/registration sticker if its registered as an antique. But you are limited to how many miles per year it can be driven. If you drive it often/more than the classic insurance will allow you then you have to get an inspection, given it's only 7 dollars for a safety inspection.. just do it and quit trying to play the system, I see a lot of cars that shouldn't even pass inspection and should be ticketed for things like tinted lights but cops are cool around here thankfully, but just cause you drive a Lamborghini does not mean you are above the system.

However, most cops let it go if you are traveling with the flow of traffic and aren't being reckless. In the case of the registration, i don't know why that driver was targeted if multiple people also had expired registration. You'd have to ask that officer.
