Coffee Macaron Recipe 110 grams powdered sugar 70 grams all-purpose flour (plain) 1 ½ tsp instant coffee 65-70 grams egg whites, room temp (about 2 large eggs) ⅛ tsp salt 45 grams sugar Makes about 20-22 macarons Mix powdered sugar and flour together with whisk In a separate bowl, sift instant coffee into bowl. Sift powdered sugar and flour into the bowl with sifted coffee. Mix well In a separate bowl, add egg whites, salt, and sugar. Mix wet ingredients with an electric mixer until stiff glossy peaks form. Sift in dry ingredients. Mix and fold with rubber/silicone spatula until you can create an “8” or infinity symbol without breaking. Place into a piping bag and pipe uniform shells onto a silicone baking mat or parchment paper. Tap onto the counter slightly to remove air bubbles and make the batter lay smooth. Remove any remaining air bubbles with toothpicks Sprinkle with instant coffee Let rest for about 30-45 minutes or until surface is dry Preheat the oven and bake at 300 degrees for 5 minutes then turn to 250 degrees and bake 7-8 minutes more. The baking time can be different and temp so focus on your oven. Once completely cooled, remove from the tray and fill with dulce de lechera from Nestle or your favorite caramel. Allow to mature in the fridge in an airtight container for 24 hours. Remove from the fridge and let it come to room temperature before eating.

Tried these and followed the recipe to the tee. Weighed everything and made sure I had stiff peaks and the texture made the perfect ribbon without breaking. After an hour, they were still wet..when I baked them they had no feet, some were hollow, and cracked. Will try once more and see if it works after leaving out maybe 2 hours and if not, I'll adapt and use a traditional almond flour recipe

TYSM I hope it turned out better for you the 2nd time around. Try keeping them in an air conditioned room to dry in case you live in a highly humid county

i tried with powdered sugar and it turned amazing.I was really shocked since it this was my fifth time trying macarons This is definitely useful and i even tried the macarons with all pupose flour vid and it turned out great amazing vids keep it up😇

Conversion: 3/4 cup powdered sugar 1/2 cup of flour 1 1/2 tsp instant coffee 1/2 egg whites 3 tbsp + 1 tsp granulated sugar

Thanks for putting up a recipe as almond flour is really expensive in my country this is good just to try and get the method correct and then I can move up to the almond flour ones 😍

I halved the recipe and they came out super delicious & perfect 👌🏻 But when I took them out of the oven the feet got spread, they were perfect in the oven! I felt like they were over baked! Gonna try again soon👍🏻

I tried this recipe at least 3 times and all turned up looking perfect consistently with nice feet HOWEVER they were all hollow and very very chewy sticky on the inside. It could be due to the higher sugar content of the recipe or the oven's temperature or my technique not sure I'm no expert. The 300F and 250F also did not work for my oven. I read somewhere it is better to keep to one constant temperature all the way. Furthermore the taste with APF was just sugary, nothing compared to almond flour. So can you use APF? For sure you can but will it taste good even with the best filling? You to judge but for me I will stick to almond flour for now :) At least it is a CHEAP recipe to use to perfect your meringue whipping and macaronage technique. Happy baking!

Thank you for your opinion. I bake my macarons at a temperature that suits me. 😊 Anyone who wants to bake macarons should pay attention to how macarons baked and adjust the temperature and cooking time if necessary. Of course, almond flour macarons taste better than simple macarons. Also, this recipe for those who want to learn how to make macarons and not waste expensive flour in empty, or for those who are allergic to nuts.

@@macaronrecipes8676 and im only giving feedback based on my own personal experience trying out this recipe. As I mentioned the temperature is not working for MY oven. After some research it seems like your temperature is more on the lower end. No doubt it works great for those wth nut allergy. It definitely helps wth my macaronage as itz relatively cheap to keep making it by scaling it to just one egg recipe. Happy trying folks!

I tried this recipe without the coffee and my bottoms came out hallow. They had good feet in my opinion and most of them had smooth tops but a few had cracks on top. I'm a beginner and I thought this was a great way to save money than using almond flour. What did I do wrong? I'm thinking it could either be oven temp was to low or under baked? Tried taking them off the mat after 15mins of being out of the oven and the middle if them were doughy and stuck to the silicone mat, was that a mistake as well? Should I have left it to sit longer to cool?

I did the recipe it looks right before baking after baking it has wrinkly surface ,hollow inside and chewy Decrease the oven heat or increase it ? Which better turn off the oven fan or turn it on * i cant know my oven degree it is high or low so asking to know if this result from high or low heat

Yes, rice macarons taste slightly different from all-purpose flour macarons.

No, this recipe can’t replace pain flour with almond flour. I have four almond flour macaron recipes, so check out my KZbin blog.

I tried baking these today and followed the exact same recipe Don't know how they didn't turn out good These macrons didn't rise properly and it was stuck to the parchment paper so badly that I couldn't evn remove it out Ma'am can you please let me know why this happened? I had followed the exact same recipe and method and even temperature I would love to give these a second try!

Try 300F for 12 to 13 minutes and do not remove the macarons from the parchment paper while still hot, let it cool first.

If it sticked to the paper then apply butter or nonstick spray to the baking sheet before putting macaroons into the oven

With less sugar will not work. If they are very sweet for you, change the filling, for example: lemon buttercream or lemon curd.

You can just print out circle templates at home and put it under the parchment baking paper to pipe out.
