I don't know of anyone who holds a liquid in their mouth for 30 minutes. Most liquids have a very brief contact time with the surface of the invisaligns. I think a video showing drinking these beverages over a weeks time frame and then look at any kind of discoloration. I personally volunteer for the wine portion of this test. Also it would be very interesting to see what just swishing water in your mouth after consuming these beverages does to help eliminate any of the staining.

I am on my first tray and your channel is so helpful! I worry about my attachments staining and have been avoiding turmeric despite my religious cleaning schedule.

Ooh this was interesting! I am kind of surprised that the results weren’t worse tbh... I am a coffee drinker, but I always take my trays out, count it against my time, and brush thoroughly before putting trays back on. I only drink water when the aligners are on. I also soak my aligners in a 50/50 water and hydrogen peroxide solution twice daily. They stay pretty clear this way!

Nice! Thanks for sharing your protocol. There is this hydrogen peroxide foam that they sell that’s suppose to keep your aligners cleaner. You’re on the right track.

But once you brush after drinking coffee, doesn't it ruin your enamel? Or do you wait for at least 30min before brushing?

@@samkelombebe6400 This is exactly what I've worried about. I was always told that brushing immediately after eating can be damaging to enamel. Especially if what you just ate or drank was highly acidic.

I suffer from Acid reflux, and found that eating small apples regularly helps the acid reflux. Is it ok to take out the aligners for 5-10 minutes at least 3times daily to eat the apple? Much healthier than taking omeprazole

It’s still best to avoid those drinks because they have acids, which are not good for teeth. Stick with water if possible.

I wish i could just take my trays out but its so stressfuk when i do because im not used to it and my teeth will constantly smash against the attatchments behind my front teeth(overbite) so im sitting there with my mouth open and i cant actually enjoy my coffee or drinks😞

It’s not recommended by most dentists due to staining and sugars that can get into your trays, even with a straw.

How about water with sugar free flavoring packets? It’s the only way I can get my water in 😅

Not sure if those packets contain dyes or are they colorant free? Also check for citric acid.
