Hi, I’ve been using my chewy on a regular at least 3 times a day, or more, and my orthodontist is still saying that the aligner is still not flush. When I did my recent scan, I made sure that I used the chewy b4 doing the scan with my aligners in. There is still space between some of the teeth and aligner. Any tips, or thoughts?

Doc, yesterday i got my hawley retainers . But when i woke up in the morning (i slept with them on) there was a small gap forming in between my two front teeth🥺 should i visit the dentist asap? Or will it fix by itself ? Please reply 😭🙏

I’m really confused why my orthodontist has me wearing my bands from the top molars to the front teeth. I have an overbite and my lower teeth are curled in. Why would they be moving them even further back? Additionally, it took me an hour to get my rubber bands in on the first night. Just not seeing or understanding the value of the time investment.

My Day 1-3 of new tray is the hardest. Hard to remove, hard to put on and it hurt a lot. Then on Day 4-7 it's loose and everything is easy and no pain .

I am on day 4 of my aligners and have been logging just over 22 hrs. The app is extremely helpful so thank you. Thank you for the 3 hrs off suggestion. I am going on vacation shortly and that will help my stress. Otherwise, sticking to 22.

THANK YOU FOR THIS!! I also learned more from you than my own dentist. I was not aware of how important it was to make sure I had no air gaps. I was on Tray 5 and had to go back to Tray 2 to correct one tooth that was not tracking. I did not know about chewing exercises either 😢. So I almost back to square one unfortunately.

I had two refinements where my ortho had them set up for rubber band wear but every visit I kept being told I didn’t need them so I was never given elastic and now here I am on yet another refinement set to strictly fix my bit and some minor molar adjustments with elastics finally

Hello doctor,i have been told by my orthodontist that my tongue thrust is due to the fact that my tongue volume is too large. I had a relapse of orthodontic treatment because of it and have been suggested a certain glossectomy as a solution.Can you please provide your valuable opinion on the said glossectomy?Thankyou so much

So glad I found your video, I was hoping to find this. I started with 7 for my top but we are now on 21. I recently noticed that my teeth looked much better around 7 or 14. How do you fix a situation where let's say you liked your teeth better at 14 but now you are at step 20 and your mouth has now changed, therefore 14 doesn't fit? My teeth were more spacious, I never had a crowding problem. However now it is much tighter since the dentist I am guessing was trying to straighten up my bite. My mouth had a lot more room before so when I put on my older aligners they are big. How can I correct or fix this? What would your recommendation be

Wait so, how many hours would you say, would a person with elastics rubber bands, would have to change it? For example, would it be every 5 hours to change it?

@HyperGadgetsАй бұрын
I'm not a dentist, but the answer should be no if you use it properly. i.e. floss and brush after eating, no eating with aligners in, cleaning the aligners properly, etc

My issue is more with getting the aligners back into my mouth over the attachments. It takes 15 minutes to get them back into my mouth, it’s awful. Any tips?

Oh no, it takes some practice and time to figure out where to seat the trays first (front/back, left/right).

Oh no, I’m the outlier! I have brushed my teeth 28 times on a couple of days! I’m a grazer and I can’t adjust. The Movements help, but I work from home & between stress of a remodel & getting snacks for workers…I’m either going to wear off my enamel or have a million cavities-probability both!!

I wish my dentist gave me your link to start. I’m grateful for finding you. Your videos are so much more helpful than anything & everything my dentist has told me! She just scolds me constantly but never tells me why I should be doing anything or how much. I popped 3 chewies & she said I was doing it wrong, but never told me what to do or why, or how long! Ditto for how long to wear (days). Just 22 hrs a day, which caused migraines. She shook her head & said to get used to it.

My dentist told me I'd be wearing mine 23.5 hours a day when I first got them in... I was like really? He said yes, pop them out eat brush your teeth and pop them back in. So do I eat once a day then or.....I quickly realized this was ridiculous, now I shoot for 22-22.5 hours... I think the plan was tell the patient 23.5 and hope for 22
@TrayMinderАй бұрын
Wow! You are very disciplined and likely in the top 1% of aligner users. 23.5 hours of wear time may not be sustainable in the long run….

It’s mostly the orientation of the hook in relation to the ring part.
