They say that gardening is the ultimate definition of optimism. You plant and have faith that things will grow. So Jason, one day I expect to see your photo next to the word Optimism in the dictionary, because YOU are the epitome of that word. Thank you for the tour, and appreciate all the hard work you all do to bring us along into your world. My day wouldn't be complete without watching your videos. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who feels that way. Watching from SW Ohio ❤

Your property is so beautiful! All the changes and additions you've made are really making it your own. I was sad to see you leave the old homestead, but this new one offers so many more benefits (without having to walk that hill multiple times a day!). I just love it! As someone who love a water element, I wonder if that center grass area in the parterre garden would be a nice place for your fountain? Either way, it's beautiful as is!!! I'm so happy for your family and all you animal babies. I really enjoy tuning in to the new developments! All the best to you! 💜

Mildred, Jessie & Honey are a hoot to watch. It's like they're all saying, my turn, my turn! lol I love it! Thanks for letting me know that the fountain had been talked about. Back issues that can’t be fixed. But I can enjoy yours. In the spring when the roses wake up, a lot of people top dress with a mix of epsom salts and alfalfa pellets. Because alfalfa pellets are upto very expensive from the gardening world and hard to find plus expensive from the farming world, many use rabbit food pellets with the highest concentration of alfalfa they can find.

I remember you putting out the portraits and the first pigs on the property even before you all had moved out of little Cog Hill. Amazing, isn't it?

Thank you so much Jason for the tour.! I love seeing the progress of the farm, especially the different seasons. I've been watching you and your family for years. (way before you left little cog) . I watch every video and every live. You and Brooke always bring a smile to my face, and I thank you for that. I am keeping Brooke in my prayers. My sister has rheumatoid arthritis, so I very much understand her pain. Again, Thank you and Brooke so much for sharing your lives with us.

We have a 1/4 acre block on a steep hillside in a subdivision. We have done extensive soil improvement by bringing in trailer loads of horse and cow manure, straw, leaves and our own compost over 17 years. We had compacted denuded heavy rocky clay that had probably been the surrounds of an implement shed on the old farm. I was impatient and planted things before the soil was ready. But now, we have a full food forest garden with fruiting trees and vines on pergolas which serve to shade our house in Summer as well as starting to produce fruits. We have a few chickens which we call 'chooks'. A fenced in veggie garden and a hive of bees recently chose our garden to live in. They stole my grandsons' Christmas gift of a bird house for themselves and they are most welcome.

Can't believe what you all have done on your farm in such a short time, an awesome homestead !!! It is gorgeous! What a fabulous tour today! . The basis of the stewardship tradition is to be found in Genesis 2:15 where God establishes man and woman in the garden and tells them to “cultivate and take care of it”. The implication is that human beings are called into a relationship with God and are called to care for creation. You & Brooke are a great Stewarts to God's land and livestock .

I’ve heard the rule of thumb for roses is: First year, they sleep. Second year, they creep. Third year, they LEAP! 😊

Thank you for the beautiful farm tour Jason. It lifted my spirits! I had just watched Daniel Arms family tragedy. My prayers are with the folks for the tornado in Sulfur Springs and flooding with the loss of their baby donkey.
