Hope that all of you have been feeling well, been praying for you. We always planted 100lbs of potatoes every year. Daddy plowed momma cut the eyes out. And we always planted as mom cut us kids dropped with eyes up. And daddy covered right behind us. We never waited. And planted the weekend closest to valentine days. Then as the potato cme up daddy would take a log and drag the tops off. Lots of work. I wish I could garden now.

The way we taught our chickens to go in the coop at night was with battery powered night lights. We kept the coop lite up with soft light just until a few minutes after sun down. The chickens would follow the light once it started to get dark. We did that for a couple weeks and now they all put themselves to bed in the coop each night without the lights. Might be worth a try.

I started laughing when Nugget stuck his head in the chicken door. There always has to be a few who just can't follow instructions, it's the same with humans. The Big O in action! (Grin) MaryCarl, those 2 chickens, Corny and Vicki, are just beautiful. I love his tail! Now that's not to say that "the big guy" isn't adorable, he just doesn't have the pizazz that Corny has. I enjoy your family so much, keep sharing with us it makes my days calmer. Stay safe.

Jason, if you want your chickens to go in at night you need to turn the light on inside the coop before it gets dark. Then when it starts getting dark they will be attracted to the light and go inside all by themselves, and you’ll never have this problem again. Just make sure the light is bright enough to shine out the door where they will be going inside.

I think you need to rename the tractors to “Big T” and “Little T”, for big tractor and little tractor, just because you already have “Big O” and “Little O” with the Ozella’s. Just a suggestion so the tractors and peahens don’t have the same names. ♥️ I absolutely LOVE your channel and I am overly impressed with MaryCarl’s knowledge of everything with a beak. Aww Corny is calling Vicky over. Makes me miss having chickens myself. If I ever find myself with enough room again, I might go some. Used to have bearded d'anvers, 2 New Hampshire bantams, Marans (they looked like marans.. black legs), a Bielefelder, and possibly a Brabanter (who was my first chicken, together with the 2 new hampshires... I loved her to bits, sadly she never laid eggs with a shell... ) and a bunch of mixes. Not all at the same time.. Netherlands and space isnt a good combination, specially if you live in town. By the way almost All of our baby chicks were hatched by one of my new hampshire hens, she was an awesome mom. Funnily enough, all her babies hatched on saturdays. (I miss the feeling/sound of hearing them the first time... Peeping from underneath mom) *fuzzy happy feeling remembering that*
