Amen! Bishop Sheard, family is a priority. Have the church meetings if they are necessary, but reschedule the dates so it no longer disrupt the family we are called to minister to. Bring order to the house.

Come on Lady Sheard, come on through... All of us have to start from somewhere. It hasn't always been easy! But you all stood for what is right, keeping God as your priority and sticking together ~ God was able to trust you all with more.

I Love and appreciate our Leaders for taking the time to present the Marriage Initiative! I'm in agreement 100%. The consideration for "not" scheduling conferences during holiday's is right on Target. Blessings and Favor!

OMGOODNESS! Bishop said a mouth full of truth! I am 54 years. Literally... To this day, being a PKid. I loathe conventions! That's why, I love traveling and enjoying life outside of church. Always at a church convention during the holidays!

The bishop said, "every relationship must have some glue when those tough times comes." That's a true statement. There has to be something to keep family together when anger and hurt outweighs the love.
@Monica-lj3lu2 жыл бұрын
That glue is called having a close relationship with God, and walking with Jesus 🙏, cause you are going to need to really know the word, and trust whatever they tell u to do, especially if one is saved and one is not.

@@tanyawalker6705 Because I mean what did the Sheards share that was so enlightening? They had "challenges" along the way, don't even mention what specifically happened. Just vague convo that could've come from anyone, not the first couple of COGIC.

@@20FilmChick They were very detailed, there wasn’t any scandals or anything. What do you want them to talk about?They gave great nuggets especially Bishop Sheard. Knock it off. What are you looking for? Juicy tea on cheating. Every marriage is not like that. What were you watching that you have to ask what were they talking about. Kierra and her husband cant offer advice about anything but bring a millennial married. That’s dry

The husband is never to submit to his wife!
@terryw67472 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert, can you elaborate a bit more.
@robertbryan88462 жыл бұрын
@@terryw6747 It's clear in the Bible. "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord." *** It's the WIFE who is to SUBMIT*** "For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the Saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church..." ** The HUSBAND is the HEAD of the WIFE. He is to LOVE her like Christ loves the Church!*** All this goes back to Gen 3:16. The curse the Lord put on Eve was that Adam shall rule over her because it was EVE, the WOMAN, who was deceived, talking to the serpent, listening to him, spreading to her husband his false teachings of Satan. Thus, the result of HER action in the Garden (Adam shall rule over her), SHE sought "to be empowered", (the theme and MANTRA of today's contemporary WOMEN of our world today), biting and SWALLOWING the devil's lie to her - "For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."
@robertbryan88462 жыл бұрын
@@frankjohnson5028 Understood Mr. Johnson, however vs 21 is separate from vs 22. Verse 21 is a general command all God's people should do with regards to each other. Verse 22 is the specific command the LORD gives to the Wife with regards to her Husband. And further on, He expresses the Wife's role(s) with regards to her Husband. He did the same in Colossians 3:18 and 19 "Wives, SUBMIT YOURSELVES UNTO YOUR OWN HUSBANDS, as it is fit in the Lord..." Not only there but Titus 2:5 "5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, OBEDIENT TO THEIR OWN HUSBANDS, that the word of God be not blasphemed. As well as I Peter 3:1 - "Likewise, ye wives, BE IN SUBJECTION UNTO YOUR OWN HUSBANDS; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives". She is to SUBMIT to her "saved" and "unsaved" husband.

@@robertbryan8846 Thanks for your exegesis. I do find your explanation to be solid and correctly interpreted. Eve did take a leadership role in guiding Adam's directions after conversing with the serpent. The results led to The Fall. Thanks, and be blessed.

Not a fan of cogic anymore because of predators in cogic try to stalked my baby sister and she didn't fall for it thank God but I focus on the Sheards. He loves his wife . He had to bust his own elder in his own church for complimenting his wife too much. As a man I think that elder was trying to get some money out of her. Mr. Sheard should have suspended him but then again there are predators in the denomination if your presiding bishop to deal with this
