Man, that voice will forever be interwoven into the fibers of my very existence. I don't listen to Coheed like I used to when I was younger, but every once in a while I'm reminded of the fact that they still hold that No. 1 spot on my list of favorite bands.

Regarding the crowd; this was one of the first times C&C covered this, and Gotye's song was just gaining popularity at the time, and few fans had heard it. Probably half the crowd was festival goers hearing them for the first time. The other videos we have from this show (check em out) have the crowd

How I wish the crowd could have been more lively! Like this is a good cover song of Gotye's song .. not probably good but the best!
@RecklessAbandonnn11 жыл бұрын
I don't think the percussion through the choruses matches the rest of the cover. Josh Eppard* is a great drummer, but I don't like the percussion here. A 16th beat on the hi-hat would've been cool imo...or the equivalent of a 16th beat in 2/4.
@edwincruz494711 жыл бұрын
Wait, what? If you listen to the original the percussion is essentially the same here, at least until the fills. And they had to translate a mid tempo ballad into a heavier sound, so it sounds different. And it's Chris Pennie, not "Perri" and it's Josh Eppard whose playing here.
@RecklessAbandonnn11 жыл бұрын
Edwin Cruz Okay Eppard. I disagree with his interpretation of the song. Just thumb down next time, saves energy.
@edwincruz494711 жыл бұрын
Nah, you can't say what you want to say in a thumbs down. And if it means anything, I also thought the drums were lacking. But I'm not gonna shit on the drummer either.
@TomWhaley62111 жыл бұрын
Edwin Cruz Yeah, just give him a thumbs down next time instead of correcting him and telling him that nobody named "Chris Perri" ever drummed in Coheed and Cambria, and that Josh Eppard is the current drummer again... So instead of trying to maybe teach this guy something, just let him be ignorant and down vote him haha About the drumming... I'm pretty sure that this is one of the earliest times they covered it, and this was a (at the time) brand new line-up, so naturally everybody wasn't totally comfortable yet. However, they improved on it as they played it more, and even added Claudio's wife on vocals too!
