Claudio was my sons hero, idol, Person most respected in life. tonight they played in phx az and I missed it. Eric Thomas was born on March 12 1999. The youngest of my 3 boys... we always had a special bond. He was an excellent guitarist, self taught to Coheed n Cambria. Besides being a musician, he was a friend to so many- positive role model in a tough part of a tough town. Tucson. He got me into Coheed& Cambria, during a difficult time and I Loved the music. My son and his music, the others walking around our house just playing or singing, a crowd most days doing good things. On March 12 2017 we found ourselves at the hospital instead of a birthday celebration for Eric. We learned he was very sick, dying of a rare and nasty cancer. The world lost him on April 16 2017. Easter Sunday. I am the luckiest mom, 18 years of selfless loving wisdom kindness and talent. I AM devastated. I was shocked just recently seeing Mr. Sanchez's birthday, March 12. Your music brought us- many- together in good times and held me together in the pain of the loss of my son. I missed your show today. Next Time, Eric would say.

Stacy Hack my god, now I’m crying, Claudio is my hero and my inspiration to keep going and to push through my life. He’s my inspiration to make music, he’s the one who really got me into what I play. He’s a truly inspiring man. I’m sorry about your son but I like to think that he is still jamming out in whatever afterlife awaits us. I’m not religious but the one thing I know is there is more for us out there.

Stacy Hack I’m so sorry. I cant imagine. Your son sounds like a beautiful soul. I hope his legacy helps people. So many people need inspiration, and as heartbreaking as your story is, your sons example is inspiring to me. We're now up here alone. Terror on the intercom. Can someone save us? Systems malfunction. Blast it, this damn machine, over and out captain. Something lurks, creeps, on the counter top somewhere behind you. Parasitic cyst, I can't stand to watch. It's coming up and out of your chest. Remember when we were young? Sit up right on the table. A photograph of earth feeding me a way back. Frightened, I tear alone, or maybe not the only one there. Hello...hello. When it rings, will you answer? There, corner. Tall, short stance. It's you, come on kill me! You made a good friend to me But while you were out numbered and torn they made us do things. Dear god, I don't feel alive. When you're cut short of misery will you pray it be the end? Give a look of surprise. Wide eyed to me. Then you'll know just what I am. The scare that triggers your fear. Come know me in a different light. Come know me as god. Run sand hourglass in my time, Will I be worth? Spin round carousal when your horse isn't screwed in. Dear god, I don't feel alive when your cut short of misery. (Raise forth, lost cause) Will you pray it be the end? Give a look surprise wide eyed to me. (Raise forth lost cause) Then you'll know just what I am. (Subtle demise. The legitimate cry) The scare that triggers your fear. Come know me in a different light. Come know me as God. To me, this song conveys overwhelming emotion from the very first instant, before the singing even starts: A feeling of profound sorrow and loss of hope, of men who know they are minutes from death as a battle rages around their orbital station and everything falls to ruin around them, and the people watching from planetside as warheads scream across the horizon and bloom miles above in the atmosphere, throwing percussive blasts of light over a ruined landscape. The intercom crackles and buzzes with the screams of their battle brothers and sisters. A commander runs to the controls of one of the last functioning orbital cannons, pushing the gunner's corpse out of the seat as klaxons blare and a machine voice warns of depressurization. The bulkheads are closing. He chooses to stay, sighting an enemy in his scope as he lines up his final shot...

Claudio could be considered a rock god just for the complex and hard-banging riffs he writes alone. But then he sings on top of them, AND is playing multiple characters with different voices in those lyrics.
