20 years ago I was a prominent Tae Kwon Do instructor and I drove an hour every day to work. The Second Stage Turbine Blade was the only album I had in my car for that whole year and I never got sick of it. It was the best thing I had ever heard.

I was 12 or 13, My dad died of a heroin overdose - my mom has moved us into my grandma's house and I was sleeping on the couch, failing at school. I didn't give a fuck about anything except my cd player and my skateboard. I don't even know why I got the album, my god. Grabbed it from the store I think along with the system of a down album both had just come out. Time consumer, delirium trigger, everything evil changed my young life. And I was already aware of a broad range of music too. Had never heard anything like this before, shook me to my core. Emotion pouring off. Good god it's been over twenty years.

If you're listening to this song in 2021, look up Claudio Sanchez' comic books, The Amory Wars. Every Coheed song is based off the comics. This particular song is about some really dark material in the first book. Each book of the series shares the same name of every Coheed album, and each album follows the story.

Something spirals and equals a surplus in breathing allowing others to pass and you to chill whenever it asks for your soul does it seem possible to equip the incidental to a pride near you that nothing is of shame but everything in a direction it can flow to crashing in boundaries of an individual that sees the truth in speaking through silence that alters the course of embarrassment that's designed to get you to fix thyself for the climax that delivers restitution whenever work becomes a problem, that all is at ease when difficulties surmount to begging for the solution one might consider intrusive although inspired to network to end all exposure of little things that soon become unknown that starting off is greater than ending up with a unicycle allowing one to feel!

For those not familiar with the Amory Wars (yeah, you see, there is a comic book series written by Claudio that syncs with each album, mind blowing I know), this is a song about Josephine (Coheed and Cambria's daughter) being about to have sex in a car with her boyfriend in Jersey City, but they're then assaulted by a gang and she gets raped in front of her boyfriend. As if things couldn't get any worse, she comes home only to be murdered... well, beaten to death... by her father... with a hammer.... to her head.... yeah it's very depressing but magical at the same time.. it is amazing how your mind blows when you finally understand certain words or expressions used by the band, like "hey shabutie", "House Atlantic", "Second Stage Turbine Blade", "The Crowing", "Silent Earth", and even their own logo... Totally recommended, but you will wanna puke at some moments.
