I got chills watching this... Hades is an amazing game and to see Cohh give it such praise really does it justice. I consider Cohh an expert when it comes to games of all kinds due to the vast variety of games he has played over the years. Incredible game and couldnt be more impressed by the devs. Hope they watch this video and really feel accomplished with the game they made!

I think I've never heard Cohh praise a game so much as this, and all of it is deserved too! I'm playing through the other supergiant games first before diving into Hades but my friend has been doing nothing but recomending the game to me the past few weeks :)

Hades has such phenomenal polish. You can tell the game had a lot of love put into it from the music, the visuals, the fantastic dialogue and voice actors with the most surprising part, accurate lore. It's kind of insane how much quality this game has.

the best rogue-lite in my opinion. maybe more enemy and room layout variety to make it the perfect game but that's complaining on a high level. it's easily GOTY/top5- material for me.

Unless it a genre you really despise. It's definitely worth its money. I'm not a huge roguelite/whatever player (i played isaac but not that much) but got this game both on pc and switch and its great on both platforms! and especially considering its not a full 60$ title.

I could never really get into Binding of Isaac (or any of the other less popular rouge-likes) but this game just sucked me in. I only recently got it on Switch and it's already my most played game on the console.

Yeah I love the game. I’ve been looking for the right roguelike to get into, like I love the idea of those games but haven’t found one that really clicked until Hades. I just find I want to keep playing, and I guess that says all that needs to be said about a video game.

My only problem with this game is the likelihood of them adding any new content. Cause in my opinion these types of games die out when you don't add to them not new levels necessarily but new weapons new boons New Gods those types of things now I'm not comparing Hades and dead cells to each other but that's one thing I can say that dead cells has over Hades and I understand that Hades has just released and there is a small and I do mean small possibility of them adding new content but dead cells is constantly adding new material weapons enemies bosses those types of things which keep roguelikes Goin

I've heard so many good things about this game and I really wanna dive in, there is just one thing that's holding me back. From the game play I've seen it looks very cluttered, there seems to be a lot going on at any given time and it seems the artstyle is making it hard to differentiate between background, obstacles and enemies. That said I could totally see this being something that becomes a non-issue when you're actually playing yourself and know what's going on. Can anyone who has played the game comment on that?
@j19sch3 жыл бұрын
Hasn't bothered me (have played 30+ hours) and I avoid bullet hell-style games for the reason you mention.
@marcuskane10403 жыл бұрын
You get used to it pretty fast. Took me 2-3 runs to "feel the flow" of the game.
@hz37623 жыл бұрын
Yeah I played 80 hours and I can confirm that enemy clutters almost never bothered me, each weapon have some kind of ranged attack for you to clear out a bunch of weak enemies real fast, and it's fun to do that
@kadatherion_3 жыл бұрын
~150hrs mark here (and yes, it still gives me new content after every run, holy shitstacks!). Don't worry, the progression is spot on. Sure, later on runs can become messy, but the game takes you there at a smart pace, so that you are never overwhelmed in the wrong way. The experience made in the previous runs with less/simpler weapons/boons/difficulty multipliers makes it so you always feel in control. The game is hard, but in the right way, not because it frustrates you technically. And believe me, I'm not a roguelite, a bullet hell or fast paced action fan. Quite the opposite: I usually suck at them and get overwhelmed easily, thus I don't like them much or often. But Hades is so user friendly (other than filled with top notch content) that even though it's not supposed to be my genre it's my GOTY hands down. And it's 15/20 bucks. Might even be the best gaming deal of my life (and I've been gaming for 30 years...). I honestly believe you can't go wrong with it.
@foozlesprite3 жыл бұрын
In addition to what others have said, there's also a 'god mode' you can turn on in the settings that boosts your stats by about 20% initially iirc, and then every time you die after that will add 1-2% to your stats. It's a good way to get into it if you're new to or not great at the genre, and might even make it playable for people that would otherwise have issues due to some disabilities. It gives you a bit of wiggle room to learn and fail while you're getting used to the amount of things on-screen. And I think you can toggle it at any time, so if you feel like you're ready to turn it off, you can do that too.
