Cohh has never played a Dynasty Warrior game and the first person he meets is Guan Yu one of the most badass dudes to have ever lived. Hell of a way to start the game.

Every Dynasty Warriors starts from the beginning. It's just like the Dragon Ball games in that respect. You can play through the entire story and play through different characters' perspectives.

Dynasty Warriors Origins is a stand alone, single player, story driven, RPG with 1v1000 hack and slash combat. It focuses more on story events than any other game in the Dynasty Warriors franchise and has you play as a single character, which is why it's not a numbered entry into the series. This game is designed more to draw in new players and test a bunch of different things than to be a continuation of the series. The entire story of this game is based on a novel written in the 1300s-1400s which was based on actual historic events from 183-290 AD. This game covers roughly the first half of the events that took place in the Three Kingdoms era. If anyone wants to learn more about the story, you can either buy the novelization or find a site where you can read Luo Guangzhou's "Romance of the Three Kingdoms". Fair warning....It's a VERY long read and if you dip into all the folklore surrounding the events and the historic figures you can spend weeks on end just reading legends about fantastical figures.

Every Dynasty Warriors game is a retelling of events there is no continuation or prequals, each game can be either focused on a playable kingdom of your choice or character of that kingdom. Each game contains alternate endings based of which kingdom or character you play as or based off of events that you do in battle. Dynasty Warriors series are the base game, Dynasty Warriors Extreme Legends adds new characters to play as, as well as stories modes & challenges, Dynasty Warriors Empires becomes more strategy based & I think can create your own playable character in those ones. If I remember empires, you can play any character & choose to be a follower of a lord or become lord of you own & conquer all of China, if I remember correctly. OG & PS1 Dynasty Warriors was a 1 on 1 fighting game, completely different from all the others.

Gameplay. This gameplay is much better than banishers which has a good story but gameplay meh. Also he played like 8 hours of that. Who knows if he’ll keep playing this? And not everyone likes what you like. There ya go
