Spot on! BHK lives up to the hype but I don't think they are a value at the current retail price. I used to get boxes for under $500 USD and even that was too much but $40-50 for a consistently good cigar is acceptable for me. If you must have a BHK, I also recommend pulling the trigger on a full box because it is a better value and if you have one, you will likely want more. Ultimately, the BHK line is just Cohiba but if you've ever had a Cohiba that was really "on" they can be heavenly. In my experience, the BHK 52/56 provide that experience consistently. The real magic in a BHK starts around the beginning of the 2/3 mark as it smoothly transitions into a more full bodied experience. I often compare, and pair, cigars with coffee (or a nice sipping Bourbon/Rum). If you enjoy milk and a touch of salted caramel in your coffee, that would be an average Cohiba. A Behike is generally the same profile but with a bit better quality ingredients... imagine Jamaican Blue Mountain or Kona coffee with a shot of espresso sitting at the bottom and using half and half rather than whole milk. Just a more rich experience overall. Enjoy! Side note: I don't think BHKs are comparable to OPUS X... they are both great for completely different reasons. I have Sharks, Power rangers and a few other vitolas of Opus and they are very nice as well as hard to find but the BHK is delicate... special. I hate fruit cake and have only only ever had a nice rum/fruit cake that was amazing once in my life and that flavor reminded me of a good Opus X. The profile of a BHK is more delicate: Cocoa; Macadamia, Cashew and Almond type of nuttiness; slightly sweet and slightly savory; Not bitter or astringent; White pepper; some grassy/hay notes; cedar aroma... creamy mouthfeel... just lovely. The Opus is more bold, dark and aggressive like a barrel proof bourbon.

Well, I agree with you. Can't really disagree, what a great perspective! Love it! The price does get to me on the BHK now, i must admit, its frustrating but still good cigars but yeah, from a value standpoint its painful as hell. I agree, spirits is not all whisky, my personal fav is scotch but - rum, tequila, coffee, hell I love cigars with a ot chocolate! or even some cake haha

How long have you been smoking cigars? Any health issues recently got into them and I’m just a bit paranoid of developing health issues
@eatsmokedrink5 ай бұрын
well cigars are not a health product for sure lol Actually i went through a year or 2 where I smoked one a week, at most 2 a week. Then i found i didn't enjoy them as much, i actually smoke maybe at most 1 a month on average, sometimes non so lets say 1 a month. i certainly don't think it is good for you but if it is occasional and non habitual then i suppose you are just moderating and not habitual? yeah, i smoke 3 in split croatia, nice vibe, but i don't smoke unless i find the vibe absolute. either with friends that smoke or environment that suits so no health things from it at all.

Yes ! Exactly not habitual at all occasionally maybe two a month whenever I’m out with friends getting a drink or they come over I feel perfectly fine at the moment but I’m just paranoid overtime I’m 23😅

@@GhoulGamingXD yeah i mean i am not a doctor, but i suppose anything in moderation and if you don't inhale like a cigarette, i don't like inhaling cigar smoke and hardly retrohale. I prefer palate smoking not sinus sm oking lol

I have a different take. They for sure are not healthy, but I have smoked cigars for 21 years as an asthmatic and have so far (knock on wood) have nothing but yellower teeth and a dry mouth in the am. This is smoking 2/3 a day 7 days a week.

Do you have any suggestions for the best non-Cuban cigar for U.S. people?
@eatsmokedrink2 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, I love cubans but they are expensive as balls! I mean, young cuban cigars too can be quite acrid. Non cubans, Liga pravidas are great, LFD, undercrowns sun grown or maduro is great, dogma is great, Arturo fuente prob my fav all round stock for domincan puros, especially the anejo series! the shark, wow. padron, also my fav, NEVER HAD A BAD PADRON i say. You don't need to spend big in the US for sticks. but so many shitty brands too Recently La Placenscia has been great

Hey is it worth paying £400 for this?
@eatsmokedrink Жыл бұрын
Yes and no. I didn't pay anywhere near 400pounds for this. I actually got it in tax free shipped to my door. But if you don't blink an eye on 400pounds - then it is an experience but make sure it is legit, real BHK, many counterfeit out there. but - I can tell you 20 other sticks out there that is probably around the 40 pound mark that is very good close to it. Like anything, you get to that price point it is EXTREME diminishing returns. whisky, cigars, food - etc Myself, I wouldn't pay for it as I do not have that sort of disposable throwaway $$ but if go to a store and buy say a 500pound bottle from TWE with out blinking, then Id say go ahead.

@@eatsmokedrink thank you very much. Can you recommend something that is worth spending 200-400£ on?
@eatsmokedrink Жыл бұрын
i guess i would recommend opux X and padrons. Padrons, even the standard natural/maduro 1926, 1969 series is fuc kin amazing. Undercrown 10, undercrown series, liga pravida, all are great. cubans are excellent but super expensy @@usamahpatel4605

haha tbh, when i got it it was not $800 but is it worth $800 no way. is it delicious, yes way. i usually would save this for a special occasion but for this vid i set my last aside for it. We run the biggest whisky club in NZ, non profit as well and it enables me to try ridiculous shit.
