I don't know what I expected but this is not how I imagined Cigars were made. As a strict non-smoker, I was waiting for you to add Tobacco into the leaves as I only knew Tabacco as this substance that is cut into tiny pieces. Only when you started rolling up the leaves did I realize that that was the tobacco.

I expected the internals of the cigar to be pieces of leaf too, but it makes sense that it is done this way, when you think about it. Rolling the leaves and packing them together ensures the layers are all the same direction, promoting air flow and a consistent burn.

I'm not a smoker myself, just a fella who likes learning about other peoples hobbies. from the little i know of cigar culture, the flavors and scents are the the most important, nicotine effects take a back seat. i could be wrong though.
@teocipric3 ай бұрын
As a pipe smoker i find pipe tobacco more pleasing to non smokers, its not as harsh as some cigars are (IMHO). Each has their own ups and downs. Pipe tobacco is generally much cheaper and it lasts longer, altough pipes can get expensive if you really indulge in the hoby. It much depends on the personal preferance and budget.

I enjoyed watching and every step was pretty nice except the one critique…deveining. It was a shame to see half a leaf trashed. If you wrap the mid rib around your wrist after plucking the top third getting it started. The result would be much better or simply use your chaveta to cut along mid rib. On a positive note, filler binder had the right humidification and the wrapper seemed to be cased properly as well. Nice oily and good stretching technique when applying the wrapper. No loose seams. A little less leaf than I usually bunch in a 48 but looked ample for a decent draw. Also liked the flag and cap work. Good placement vs too low. Well done!
