Lower is always better, and in this case lower was also cheaper to fix my daily drivers worn out suspension.

i’ve got an 08 ls 2.2 right now sat out at my grandpas for 3 years nothing wrong with it. had fuel put and new lines put it bc they went bad from sitting with fuel in it. did timing chain and waterpump been reliable since. i might buy the zzp coil over set its a good thousand, or the godspeed set. haven’t touched the transmission since i’ve started driving it lol. i’ve done all the work on it so im not too worried if it goes out i’ll just manual swap or buy a new trans they cheap

That's exactly how I got my old tie rod ends, and stabilizer links out too, I used a cutoff tool and said fuck it. 🤣

I would recommend lowering the rear shock mounts about an inch. It rode so much better after I did.

Just look up chevy cobalt coilovers on ebay. There will be a bunch of different options at different price points. Cobalt and HHR use all the same suspension parts.
