I've just inherited a bag of coins from my Nana. Lots of pre-decimal and decimal. Came across this video and I really like the sheets you made for the wallets. As a complete novice I'd like to see more on how to make these.

I think you got a great deal for all those beautiful uncirculated coins. A very good idea on placeholder labels for each coin. Printed pictures with mintages noted looks so much better that one's simple handwritten text. Good luck finding more of those coins for the collection.

If I remember right, the 5p's and 10p's of 1982, 1983, 1984, and 1985 have LOW mintages!

After pre 71 coins my collection cover right up to 2024 but missing the expensive yrs ie 09,10,11,17,18.a few others as well but slowly filling the caps.last few years the RM has gone mad producing so many none circulation coins.

Definitely a bargain and a half! You were certainly in the right place at the right time. Super NIFC finds 👌Coin sheets and inserts look fantastic, and maybe you should leave the inserts in as it gives a good reference point for mintage figures. Don't forget that there is also a large style 1990 5p, and a large style 1992 10p, both of which are NIFC's. 👍

In the US you can buy rolls of the nifcs as well as getting them in sets

You really can’t complain about a bargain like that! I am a little concerned that those pages you’re putting the coins in have PVC. (The blue decimal sets appear to have already imparted a PVC haze to those coins.) Those pages are fine as a short term storage solution as you build the collection, but I hope you give them a new home before they affect the coins. Sadly, there are very few non-PVC pages out there. An easy way to tell if they are bad is if they are soft and easily flexible. They will also often give off a plastic odor if you hold your nose to them. Archival-grade materials don’t give off any odor. The way I see it, we are just temporary guardians for the coins we collect, preserving them for future generations to see. 🙂

@@CoinPatrolGlad to hear it. As someone who also dislikes coin flips, it’s hard to find good archival grade holders for coins where albums do not exist. I had to laugh about your comment on how many new 50p coin designs are getting released. I tried to keep up for a while, but there are too many… especially the non-circulating designs. At this point, if a design didn’t circulate, I don’t collect it.

I don’t think anyone would argue wether or not that you got a bargain, I was pleasantly surprised that you managed to get 3 of the NIFC 5p years and a spare one 😳😲😎🥳🤗 no bingo lines on the sheets (can’t count the pennies as they went straight into the album, however if you say 6 coins on a sheet then the last six coins would count Great stuff 👍🏻

Surely the fact that they are UNC as opposed to BUNC means that those coins are a little above face value? Given that the CIRCULATED coins found in your change are worn? I'm not talking much here, maybe 25 to 50p each?
