I feel like the last big aspect to change about the meta is going to be the ability to hit amsah techs and stage techs super consistently. I know there are people who hit stage techs pretty regularly in big spots but when you see amsah techs in spots that would have ended in a kill otherwise there’s still a bit of a woah factor. Also for what it’s worth I think puff fox is harder for puff than people give credit for. The reason that there’s no other very highly rated puffs isn’t because “it’s a boring character” or “people just don’t want to play puff” it’s because it’s hard as fuck to contend with all these insane fox mains these days. Anyone who thinks there’s other reasons we don’t see more top puffs, do you really think if you told a top 50 player that they could be top 10 if they played puff that they wouldn’t do it? Maybe some but not the majority

​@@kekula69 on lower levels yeah Luigi is annoying for Puff i can testify to that. But on high level Fox is like the single reason why almost no Puffs can get top 8 today. Like even Hbox who seemed to have the MU on lock can't keep up with the like 30 names of Foxes who can beat him. Just imagine just how hard it would be for Jmook to get into grands if there were like atleast 10 Puffs with simular skill to Hbox or more Sheiks on Plup's and Jmook's level against Zain. If you had one guy that would benefit from a character getting removed it would be Hbox bc he would kinda only lose to aMSa, Zain and some singularities like a Kodo loss.

He smash di'd the drill for a big vertical boost, then shine stalled and almost frame perfectly fastfalled after the shine to avoid a forward air but only just enough so that he could hit the perfect angle to make it back to the stage. Honestly put any other fox in that situation and they're dead.

Plup, m2k, axe, armada, mango, and even swift. What do all of these players have in common? They all switch to fox when fighting jigglypuff. Now imagine if Hbox picked a different character for fighting fox? Then begins the counterpick war. Shiii that would be crazy to see.
