As a newcomer, I've noticed that as soon as KZbinr introduce a ALT coin (which is not intended to promote), that coin pump up for a several hours and then back down. As you said is right, be sure to do your own research and figure out why to buy one crypto, do not follow the trend. However, there is also a problem that too many coins are not judged according to the market value...put it simply, many coins are overvalued ,many newcomers are not so professional to analyze various data. However, GUY will give the Crypto weather vane and background and prospect analysis, which can allow me to better understand a market and the potential of a certain Crypto (although that Crypto is currently falling sharply).

My biggest mistake was when I still watched Pump Boy Crytpo's videos. Bought AAVE at like 400 and soon after it went down 25-30%. Fml. Learnt the hard way to do better research and follow better channels

Same here but with synthetics. He is a pumper and dumper and should be avoided. Channels like this don't promote their own self esteem like Pumpboy and keep it real.
