@Peter Rabbit Are you mad? He didn't "cure" diabetes. He reduced hypertension and renal failure in patients, which is completely unrelated to sugar intake. There's a massive difference between the two. His diet reduced the amount of sodium (NOT SUGAR) and increased complex carbohydrates in diets.. *Do a little research before you bicker nonsense to uninformed people.* Edit: he deleted his comment

@gavtex1065
@gavtex1065 3 жыл бұрын
@Peter Rabbit Yes it is interesting but completely unsustainable. But something going on there. You obviously do realise then that he had to go to extremes to keep his ‘patients’ on the diet? I think it’s in some way related to the randle cycle. Carbs and fats together can be problematic. Also seed oils seem to be part of the problem. So Kempners diet is not a viable diet, and realistically probably not a great option therapeutically either (though potentially could work for some). Long term, even if you could stay on it, a plethora of nutrient deficiencies would be inevitable. Ultimately I think there are more than a couple of foods that can independently cause diabetes or at least co-contribute to the cause. Excess omega 6 and oxidised PUFA I suspect is the worst, but excess processed carbs and sugar I think is likely going to be bad as well. The 2 together is basically most processed food.

Here in Vietnam, Nestle also advertise Milo and their other products as healthy and giving you great energy to boost the day ( kinda doubt about this cause anytime I drink it, it makes me feel a bit guilty ) for example : Milo with slogan " The persistent energy for kids to reach their goals " or " The champions made from Milo ", while in fact they are just chocalate drink with a load of sugar. Hell, they even encourage the parents to feed their kids with 2 to 3 servings of Milo every-goddamn-day to build up their inner strength and might, blergh
