Oh this is such a throwback!!! Brought me back to listening to this non-stop on my cassette. It was absolutely a 90's rock song. Never heard this version and I have to say, it's just as awesome. You should check out the original as well. This version I would say was more in tune with the subject matter...the original is more 'rugged' in a way, but awesome nonetheless. The lead guitarist is from that group. This song is Coke studio's version of the original from "Junoon". Simply superb song and brilliant reactions. Loved it! I anxiously wait for Sunday and the reactions arrive early morning and it's definitely worth the wait. Yourself are spot-on in observing the 1990s feel because the original song was from 1990s, I think 1997-'98. This nothing to do with western music..These songs are based upon ragas ..every note adds a new value not just shredding .you have to know 153 ragas ..each descendants and ascends are different.. unexpected chords ..very complex...lots of training from childhood ..Indian classical music dosent use autotune ..mental health is very nessesary and each ragas or a cluster of notes are intrigated to different times of day ..After playing hard rock .thrash metal .blues .when i started a dive into indian classical i was blown away since then i started learning ragas and blv me I was healed from drug addictions .ragas were created in 1500 B.C ..These notes interacts with certain neurotransmitters gives a calm spiritualistic (universe) realm .like yoga invented around 3000 B.C .The western world is going crazy now ...
