Ali is Prophet Muhammad's cousin and am exalted and celebrated figure in the Muslim community. He is seen as the embodiment of strength and valor. Some of his famous titles are 'the lion of God' 'the ultimate Helper' 'The master'. Mola Ali was more than "Hercules" or "Thor" or "Superman" kind of supernatural heroes for us Muslims. He was cousin of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and the 4th Caliph of Islamic state. His Sword named (Zulfiqar) was as powerful as Thor's hammer and nobody could lift that sword but only Mola Ali. But at the same time he never claimed that he is god like thor stories. He always said that I am God's creation and His man. There is Only One God who has given all these powers to me and one day we all will go back to Him. So we should obey him (our Master our Creator) "Allah"

@@jawadaltaf1999 Also Imam Husain (A.S.), and before him Imam Hasan (A.S.), wielded the same sword. These are only their holy hands (and of the likes of them) that such a great sword is worthy of. The hands that wielded the sword, in fact, are far greater, far mightier than the sword itself.

Dhul'Faqar, the noble sword, was sent by Allah Almighty Himself for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his holy progeny), who, in turn, rewarded it to Imam Ali (A.S.) on the day Of Uhud. Mjolnir, or any other fictitious weapon for that matter, simply cannot be compared to the majestic Dhul'Faqar. Edit:"How distant are the Pleiades from the clods!".

However, can one be surprised that Imam Husain (A.S.) should have lent Zulfaqar/Dhul'Faqar to his beloved brother, his Flag-bearer, Hazrat Abbas (A.S.), who so closely resembled Maula-e-Ka'inaat (A.S.) in character and form, before he permitted him to take to the battle-field? Besides, as I've mentioned elsewhere, Dhul'Faqar was also the Holy Prophet's (S.A.W.A.W) own sword, which he rewarded to Maula Ali (A.S.) at the battle of Uhud, and, thenceforth, became the latter's sword. That's, anyways, how I resolve the discrepancies among the various accounts. Hope that clarifies my stance. Take very good care of yourself. Allah Hafiz.

Ali (a.s) is the cousin of the last Prophet of God, Muhammad(PBUH), closest companion, son-in-law; he is a highly revered figure among the Muslims with slightly varying beliefs as the sunni school of thought considers him among the four rightly guided Caliphs while the Jaafari School of thought considers him one of the 12 Infallible Imams. He was born in the Kaa'ba and was martyred in the mosque of Kufa while in state of prostration to God. He was an embodiment of Truth as Prophet (PBUH) quote goes: "QUR'AN is with Ali and Ali is with the QUR'AN." So you can understand how important a figure he is to Muslims.

But for us who believe in the Jaafari School of thought, he's an infallible Imam; according to which there is Imamah to safeguard every Prophet's message, which maybe from his own progeny or he himself may be awarded the status of Imam (as Prophet Abraham (a.s.)is awarded in Quran and after which he questions God that shouldn't this title be in my progeny). I'm not forcing my opinion on you and neither should you. Let us as Muslim brothers cherish the fact that he was a great man and a true companion of the Prophet (PBUH). God bless you! 🙏

Ali Azmat and his band "Junoon" were the thing in 90's. You have not seen the best of him. You should react to his songs from 90's. They were top in every chart in Asia. Sufi Rock is different from conventional/western Rock as the poetry is more speritual and merges instruments used in sufi and eastern music. Mad props to you, Nick... you caught the pulse.. Ali is epitome of knowledge and bravery.. he was/is known for his valour and chivalry. And not just that he was morally uptight in his life be it peace or war. He followed prophet to the T. He is the only person to be born in Kaaba in the month of Rajab (Islamic month). And embraced shahadat in mosque while praying.. he's said to be the only administrator to be killed because of his justice. There is a saying : Shah e Mardan, sher e yazdan, quwoot e parwardigar. La fatah illa Ali La Saif ila zulfiqar..
