Recession is often the result of external factors, and it appears that the United States is losing its grip as a federal reserve currency. With a decreasing ability to control inflation and a reduction in stocks and oil trading, it seems that a new multilateral world order is on the horizon.

It's important to keep in mind that investing is a zero-sum game with both good and bad days. However, by spending and investing wisely and diversifying your holdings, you can minimize risks and maximize gains. Hiring a knowledgeable investment advisor with a wide range of options can help you achieve this and leave little room for regrets.

it feels good to see the market in green, but just how long until we actually break even, I’m the average retail trader, DCA-ing, buying and holding on to stocks for eons, but it’s like I’m up 5% today and down 17% the next week, Yes the market is very Darwinian, there’s winners and losers, and it’s looking like I’ve been on a losing streak, while others make huge 6figure gains in the same market. I think the market will suffer more downtrends before full recovery, esp. with the inflation, hiked interest rate and looming recession bound to happen 2023, you should understand the market is not just finance and valuation, it’s history, it’s market psychology, it’s understanding how the world moves, which is why at this point in time, it’s ideal to work with an Investment-adviser with an unparalleled track record, from first hand experience, I could say they stand a better chance than most of us ever would and it has been reflecting on my portfolio. The most important things are the ones she didn't mention. The deflationary pressure from China for the last 10+ years is over. The highest driver of inflation is the high company profits with minimal taxation. The rich are getting richer and the rest are getting poorer. Maximum employment is only a good thing for the rich when the wages have been going down adjusted for inflation. If you are a regular guy like me, to get out of this loop is stop your spending. I've started home brewing beer and otherwise I only buy what I absolutely have to. Stop buying stuff you don't need. It's time to bankrupt companies that rely on things you don't need.

One little problem with that. The global (and local) economy depends on the average person buying stuff and loaning money. If you want to change the economic system, you will have to vote in people wanting to go after the biggest money piles. Reducing your spendings as an average person reduces the tax revenue and will eventually lead to even less money going towards infrastructure and the likes. Large companies and big investors won’t be bothered about some individuals going “of grid”.

As the bottle neck clear (remember all the containers at the ports?) the prices don't come down. The prices go up. Folks need/want those supplies so they purchase at a higher price. The companies purchased the prices at lower cost, but either kept the higher prices to the consumer or actually increased them. This leads to some record profits for companies, while wages remain steady. Now some companies reduce the unit size of products, but do not reduce prices as the companies may be hitting some supply shortages due to weather or war. Not a full explanation, but it may help. As usual the folks with the money make the rules, this was increased when citizens united allowed money to buy power/free speech.
@requiett

You have to understand how money is created in order to understand what inflation actually is. The Federal Reserve sets interest rates. Think of interest rates as the price of acquiring money. The Central Bank creates the money when a loan is requested. In this fiat system, a bank loan is the same as creating money. Money is debt. Debt is money. You go to a bank and apply for a $10,000 loan and then the bank creates $10,000 that didn't exist before. Now remember during the pandemic, there was a lot of fear about businesses dying from everything shutting down. So corporate / commercial loans were made very very cheap - so cheap that it doubled the supply of money. If all these places are creating loans for free, they're creating money at an unprecedented rate. That is the root cause of this current inflation spike.

It’s not, greed is in play for sure, shortages semi-exist. But it’s the fact 40% of all USD was printed in the last 2 years. It’s called dilution. More of something there is the less value it has. Those who own the scam fiat printer just print it and hand it to their rich friends who in turn wash the money back up to those who own the fiat as donations. But the middle class and poor are the problem….just wait until CBDCs come and they have full real-time control over your funds. Inflation for the US is very simple at this moment. It's all being driven by fuel prices. That apple on the tree did not cost more to pick. But it does cost more to transport it. Your roofer is not getting paid more. But everything being used for the roof is affected by transportation costs. And by the way, the big 5 oil companies have pocketed more than $75 billion in profits since January. Some companies didn't even have their oil refineries operational until April.

If you think about money as a certification of resource, this is easier to understand. Feds control how many certification there are, so they had to adjust it based on if there are more resource or less. FTX CEO numerous times bashed Bitcoin. Why? Because you can’t control it like centralized tokens. It’s why FTX had ZERO Bitcoin. Centralized you can manipulate at will. CBDCs are centralized. Everything that went to shit was centralized and further proved why decentralized proof of work is the only real way. FTX dying was a godsend for Bitcoin. Not the day traders, but the decentralized blockchain tech for a very long term future. Never ever touch centralized. I shit canned Ethereum after they moved to proof of stake which is centralized. And the Bitcoin community has been screaming for some government oversight but once that occurs you validate Bitcoin.

Y'all act like corporations can sell a product for any price, but that's not true.. if you find a product and the price is too much, and you don't want a corporation taking profits, then don't buy it, make your own company and compete.
