Yes, Andie started as a Model in the early eighties. Same time, I was working for Calvin Klein’s in-house agency (CRK Advertising) one of her first gigs as a model, was for the Calvin, on and a big shoot down in Mexico City at one of the architect Louis Barragan properties. As it was scheduled just before the holidays, the Mexican government was cracking down on illegal sales of designer clothing. So even though we had all the proper paperwork for the clothing samples, everything was confiscated, and held up in customs. This was a very large shoot, with multiple models, and a tight schedule. Solution: scramble to duplicate all the samples, and have a colleague (Pat D) fly down to Mexico City with just enough merch in her suitcase, as her own clothing, (wink wink) until all the clothing could get released out of customs. PS: the resulting pictures were gorgeous. And a memorable one, was a shot dubbed “Andie in water”. ( the Time Square Billboard) Sitting in a fountain pond modeling a pair of the iconic CK jeans. As much as we admire celebrities, it takes a village…. (And for all the people working behind the scenes in production companies around the country, they deserve proper benefits and pay.) 🙏

I would love to sit down and talk with her about her mother. All of her mother's symptoms and conditions are a result of having 4 daughters close in age and how that affects the thyroid and causes hormone dysregulation which mimics bipolar depression. I went through it. You literally know you are not yourself, but cannot change it which makes it even worse. With proper medical care and nutrition, the thyroid will heal and the mental illness disappears. Also, her father demonstrates narcissist behavior which is why he went and started a new family and it was so important for him to always look good and successful. None of it was her mother's fault nor hers. Poor things, suffering so badly when it all could have been resolved within 1 year for thyroid healing and within a few years with talk + EMDR therapy for the mental and physical domestic abuse.
