Sara Sidle made me realize my bisexuality at age 11. She was so intelligent and tough and just amazing! And Gil was the perfect match for her 😍 Just an amazing storyline the whole series! I even had the CSI board game 😁

I grew up watching CSI every week, and it developed my love of forensic science. I ended up not watching some of the later seasons because they started feeling repetitive, but I'm so excited to see the series back and to see some of the original cast again. Definitely going to be binge watching it.

I love Jorja's Sara. She brought humanity and empathy to the original show; I couldn't help but rooting for her even I knew Sara wasn't perfect and carried a lot of baggages from her past. Jorja's Sara and Petersen's Grissom are one of the most unconventional pairings on TV and GSR played a subtle but essential part through out the first seven or so seasons. CSI didn't delve into its characters' personal stuff much, except Catherine's family drama; however, CSI truly did a fantastic job by walking a balanced line between case solving and all those characters working for LVPD. It's great to see Jorja out and about again. I wish her all the best and hope CBS might give CSI: Vegas a chance next year. Paula Newsome's Maxine is a terrific character. I'll watch S2 if there's one with Maxine in it.

She was inspired by Jorja's Sara so much and now she works for a Lab in Florida as a Lab Technician. CSI made science cool and scientists hot. That's CSI's enduring legacy, IMHO.

The original CSI casting folks did a great job by finding the perfect actors/actresses to fill the show characters. Excellent actors/actress. Inspiring characters. Great scriptwriting team. The secret elements made CSI a runaway winner two decades ago!

I feel like these 10 episodes are just a tryout with the fans, rating, and whatnot. Like, how do the fans feel watching this series again after 6 years, about the new casts, about some (but not all) familiar faces who're on and not on the new series, and I feel it's still gonna hold up. I mean at least for me, This is a show I binge-watch since my high-school/college time until I was a member of society. Just hearing the theme song again after 6 years is already giving me goose bumps. If there's one thing I missed, Is Grissom's pun right before the op intro hits. 😆

I was amazed that everyone didn’t watch the Original CSI (and the various spin-offs) because criminals were still clueless about leaving evidence behind (like cigarette butts etc.). Then it occurs to me that some criminals are not that smart to begin with.

I once wanted to do a story with a colleague: The dumbest criminals. So we phone an old cop we know and ask him what was the dumbest shit he ever saw a criminal do. Loooooong pause - and then the answer: You know. I have never actually met a smart criminal. He killed our story there and then. But he confirmed your theory.

I love CSI, I still haven't seen any of CSI: Vegas because I'm in Denmark, and I'm waiting for some streaming service to pick it up (crosses fingers). But I can barely wait until I can get so see it, and experience two of my all-time favorite CSI characters (and ship) in action again. I'm so happy that both Jorja and William Petersen agreed to do this together. Love the mention of The West Wing, and that story about Bradley Whitford (also a favorite human being), that made me laugh, though glad the Secret Service is vigilant at all times. CSI, along with TWW, figures on my top 10 list of favorite (foreign) TV shows of all-time.

I did ask them (via Twitter) a while ago (in August maybe) if they'd considered getting it, as they have both the mothership (CSI) and the Miami edition for streaming, but they said there were no plans then, but the one replying to me would send it off to whoever's in charge of getting new stuff for future streaming as a suggestion. I pondered asking again, but I don't want to be annoying that way. So, I've decided to just be patient.

I can answer why NCIS (I haven't watched any episodes of either show so have no clue about the crimes) has more criminal activity than regular CSI groups. It's because the Navy watches anyone who's in the Navy more closely than any police or investigative (FBI, etc.) group does. Less people to scrutinize what they are doing at any given moment.

In my area, CSIs are peace officers, they carry magnifying glasses and their duty weapons. Couldn't watch clip, Colbert is in it. I liked the original show, but after I became a fingerprint tech., I cringed at some of the fingerprint scenes.

I loved CSI until I realized that they were making up the technical bits. At least I assume they were, because they made up so much of the the nontechnical bits. For example, in one episode it was established at the start and beyond all doubt that a certain object was 14th century samurai armor. Gil later solved the murder by deciding, based on a profound ignorance of Japanese history and a lack of common sense, that no such thing as 14th century samurai armor has ever existed. In another episode, a person having detailed information about a murder that only the murderer could have was found hiding at the murder scene. In the real world he would have been arrested immediately and easily convicted. In Gil's delusional world, he was a psychic and helped frame, er uhm, catch the "real" murderer. Gil was so invested in his job in Vegas that he had adopted the Mob's attitude toward card counting, a perfectly legal strategy for lowering the house's advantage at Blackjack.

It is a tragedy no doubt but a woman is dead and justice demands accountability, even if the shooter is rich and loved. Alec has been well trained on firearm safety for years and he shot her, any normal person would have left the set in cuffs and you know it. I kinda didn't think about proper firearm safety in my comment, I'm tired. And I don't own a gun so I don't have the safety training for immediate recall in my head. Tho the people on the set would've known there was a firearms "expert" who loaded the gun. So maybe a reason why he wasn't arrested. That and fame status plus he's White.
