As a middle aged black guy, I'm not exactly the target audience for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but I love this show intensely. It's some of the smartest writing and subtly hilarious acting I've seen in years and Tony Shalhoub's character is my favorite. I hope it keeps on going.

I can’t describe how Much I love Tony and Monk. I rewatch it each week at least one episode 😂 it’s the perfect show to laugh, relax while at the same time enjoy a great crime, mystery drama. He’s the best actor in the world, the way he portrayed Monk is phenomenal.

I love Tony Shalhoub in everything he has ever done. He is such a gifted and diverse actor, and has a wonderful gift for subtle (and not so subtle) humour. I also think there is something to be said for a POC actor who can believably play Italian, Jewish, Arab, Greek, and likely any number of other ethnicities. He is a national treasure.

I live and work with a Jewish family originally from Lithuania that came here right before the Nazi take over of Germany. There was already trouble brewing from all the anti-Semitism, etc. They came here through Ellis island, the official processing them could not pronounce their last name, so he took the oldest brother's name and said to them; "this will be your new last name: Wolfe" I encourage my friend to change his name to the original one: Josephvich. I think it a lovely and distinguished name. When the "Muslim" ban was first started by Trump, I was so encouraged to see Jewish people and families demonstrating solidarity with the Muslim people and families, God bless us all!

So happy he’s back on tv!!! I’m sure he’s sick of hearing it but Monk was one of the best shows ever. One of the few shows of that time that had me laughing out loud. I loved the cast interactions (especially with his first therapist) and the acting and writing was superb for a mostly lighthearted show. Love it so much. Bingeing it again now. :)

His character is totally different from Monk. He portrays the man as someone who is just as complex, just as compelling, and just as vulnerable as Monk. A truly talented actor who certainly pulls his weight in the ensemble that is “The Marvelous Mrs Maisel”. Makes me want to binge watch Monk... but after i finish season two and see how Tony fights the “Man” as a responsible adult instead of a hot headed kid.
