I've told people, "just watch the first 5 minutes, you'll be hooked." Everyone I know watched the first five min and then completed the season within the week. There are amazing hour long dramas out there, but it's nice to have a show you can turn to and just escape. This is definitely one of those shows. Beautiful costumes, amazing writing, incredible performances, fun soundtrack. Just an all around good time.

My wife and I raised two wonderful daughters and in their younger years I quickly learned to love Amy Sherman Paladino's writing with the Gilmore Girls (they were both die hard fans so we watched it a lot). I was home sick for a few days when this new show was first released and when I found out Amy had written it I sat and binged the whole thing (something I never do) and loved every minute of it. This young lady Rachel is fantastic in this show (and the same age as my daughters) and I loved her performance in this. While I really don't give a damn about "awards shows" I'm glad it did well.

The show has vitality and all the cast are show stoppers. I especially love Mrs Maisel’s manager on the show. Hysterical one liners, an authentic character. She gives such an endearing performance every moment. Abe is wonderful as Maisel’s father and the character of her mother who is just too cool as well. I especially adored the Lenny Bruce character who sang and did his alone spiel in the 10th episode of the second season. Quite a talent there... and Mrs. Maisel or Rachel Brosnahan is an up and coming star. No doubt about it. I want more, a third season.

I love Colbert. I really do. But it's so obvious when he interviews when he has never seen or researched the projects his guests are there promoting. He's a MUCH better interviewer when it comes to political work or entertainment projects he's seen. I feel that that's why many in the entertainment business choose one of the Jimmys to help promote their work. Just an observation. I still prefer to watch Colbert over Fallon.

Yes this wasn't his best interview. 1. Assuming that Mrs. Maisel was a real person: he might as well have hit her with a giant sign that read "I haven't watched the show and did not prepare". 2. I hesitated to watch Mrs. Maisel because of the name. It sounded like a trite sitcom. Then I saw that it was winning awards. The clincher was realizing that Rachel was the lead and realizing that she was the woman from House of Cards. She was amazing in that role. And of course she's gorgeous

Kept passing on this show when I was channel surfing on Amazon Prime. Just tonight, I saw that it was created by ASP & DP and so I immediately started watching it and boy did I ever regret not watching it earlier!!! The script, the characters, the comedy (not just her stand up part but with all the characters dialogue, etc) and hey...THE DRESSES, OMG I’ve died and gone I heaven! I love this show!!! Rachel is one of those ethereal beauties like Evan Rachel Wood. 😘

Actually, Brosnahans in the US are descendants of the Irish Brosnans. The name just evolved here in the states. I have Friends named Brosnahan on the West coast who are related to Pierce Brosnan.
