(If anyone had looked into it, they could have seen the contencious divorce with Lori in which she leveled baseless abuse accusations at him, but again, hard to prove based on that alone.) She probably also batted her eyelashes at the investigators too. As far as cause of death, poor Joe was left on his bed for days before he was discovered which makes it harder to pinpoint what happened. My guess is that he got the same thing that killed Alex Cox, which was also not discovered in autopsy, so they didn't have much to go on.

I have a soft spot in my heart for Colby. First of all, he looks a lot like my son, and they are about the same age. But mainly, of course, he truly has lost his entire (nuclear) family. I don't know what happened to his birth father, only that Lori divorced him. Colby has lost his adoptive father, Joe Ryan, and later, his step-father of 10 years, Charles Vallow. On top of all that, Colby once lived with his uncle, Alex Cox, for a period of time, and in the middle of all the killing and dying, he lost Alex, too. Then, of course, he lost his precious little sister and little brother. Lastly, he has lost his evil, monstrous, murderous mother to a lifetime in prison, but it's worse than just losing her physically. He lost her mentally and emotionally years ago when she began lusting after Chud. She went from being a good, caring, loving, soccer mom type to a heartless, cold-blooded, remorseless killer of HER OWN CHILDREN! I wish there was something I could do to help Colby cope with all that has been dumped on his plate. I worry that it's too much. I'm 59 years old, and I'm not even sure that I could cope with so damned much! Bless you Colby. You're in my heart, and I hope and pray you get through this with as few scars as possible and go on to live a lifetime of happiness and success in all your endeavors. 💖

this whole ordeal has caused all these families sooo much grief!!!! for what?????????? Chad Daybell not fighting against his death penalty shows he just wants to be a martyr he is a sick human. i truly believe chad daybell enjoys the destruction he caused...the way he giggled at Lori about Alex communicating to Chad after Alex death!!!! very sickening.

I cant imagine how cold hearted you have to be to not break down sobbing at the pain this boy is experiencing and Prior didn’t have the decency to look at him and yet Daybell looked at this young man the whole time with absolutely no emotion. He isn’t even human. 😢
