Seriously who laughs when your daughter in law disappears and has been gone for that long, not knowing what happened to her. When they asked th FIL how Jeff was doing and he replied, "He survived through it" WTH? THROUGH it?? It's not over yet so how can he "survived through it"?? The FIL had something to do with it, as helped his son get rid of the car and her. He's hiding something because he's laughing to much about this.

For all intents and purposes, it is over. No one is missing for that long and turns up alive. He has moved on and I would too. So, yes. For his father to say "He survived through it" is more than accurate to say.

If the father is any indication of Jeff’s character, which no one had anything bad to say about by the way, it’s worth noting that he seems like a very kind, and normal man. I didn’t hear one person sharing any stories about Jeff having been a bad guy in any way, prior to this event.

I know with 100% certainty that my husband wouldn't join a search or team up with others to look for me if I was missing. He also wouldn't attend my funeral if I died. Not because he would be guilty of anything and not because he doesn't love me. Everyone deals with traumas/losses differently, it doesn't necessarily make someone guilty.

The way his dad talked and his step daughter was that going to the events (he did partake in the initial searches) was to protect his children. My son wouldn't handle going and being reminded of his mother missing multiple times a year. It's just not his personality type. It would tear him up every time we went to an event like that.

This is so frustrating and heartbreaking! It doesn’t seem possible that she could just go missing. Did her husband always go to sleep before she got home from work? If she got off work at 11 and he didn’t notice that she was missing until 6:30, I would just be interested to know if it was normal for them to not see each other at night. That’s over seven hours that anything could have been happening. My heart aches for her mother and her children. I pray they find answers soon. 😢

WifeMomTeacherLife - Seems fishy to me. My husband and I have been married almost 10 years and I know he would have known I didn't make it home well before the morning. It wouldn't have taken 6-7 hours plus he probably would have been on the phone with me at some point after work. Most guys I've known usually are in "protective mode" if their s/o works nights by either picking them up or calling them.

Angela I’m sure that many couples do that. I’m just curious about their routine. My husband and I are fortunate to have similar work hours, so for the last 17 years we have gone to bed together most nights. I would like to think that he would notice immediately if I wasn’t in bed, but he sleeps like a rock and he might not notice until morning. I don’t sleep for more than an hour and a half at a time, so I would notice his absence pretty quickly. Whatever happened to her it’s sad and I wish they could solve it for her family.

AS A detective , I always request cellphones calls history for a couple of years, most of the time, any call made to a spouse would be followed with a call to a lover, I would have checked both phone records Jeff and Audrey, plus I get a lot of details who they talked to the last few weeks, phones logs are a treasure trove of information, I would have checked also the dealer's record of any work done on the car as it was quite recent and most of the time a recent car is taken to a dealer. in this case, it looks like someone was in her car already and once she cleared the hospital parking lot, she was ordered to go to a certain location where she was killed. I would have looked at scrapyards for parts of 1994 Grand Cherokee , usually all scrapyards are connected with a service that located which yard has the parts, I would have done it within a few days of Audrey's disappearance , There are other searches can be done, as a detective must think like a killer or rapist or a criminal to solve a case.
