@KyleEhm14 жыл бұрын
I do not think there should be any time period for reporting missing persons. People are not stupid they know if someone is not around and if its out of character or not, especially in this day and age with mobiles. If someone who is always on time is a half hour late and they wont answer their calls that to me is evidence enough. And say they do turn up 5 mins later ? So what, id rather waste 5 mins of police time than loose hours on a search for someone who really is missing.

Doesnt mean she vanished the next second. The killer could have been hiding in her home, waiting for her to return so they can attack her. Or, it could have been a burglary, and she returns to surprise the burglars, in which case they kill her. Or.....a million other things. Neighbors werent stalking her ffs. They didnt have eyes set on her at all times. Also, its actually easy to stun and kill someone without a scream, unfortunately. Plenty of murderers have already done that, as history proves.

This is so crazy. Another woman disappeared like this too. Not even close to related to this case outside of that. But I say that to say this. They found out later it was a teenage boy that grew up with the girls older brother and lived across the street from her. He had also sexually assaulted her. So it would seem to me to disappear so close to home and not have a suspect means obviously it's someone close to home that no one subconsciously sees as a threat. Someone with a sexual deviancy and probably a young adult Male that knows her. This is so unfortunate that these trained police would rather believe in an alien abduction than the obvious. That one of their own Georgetown residents is a rapist and murderer. Wouldn't doubt for a second if it was an official's child.

It's extremely common when a child dies/goes missing. Everyone grieves differently, and it sounds like the fathers obsession with finding his daughter - while completely justified- turned him into a bitter man towards his wife. He maybe felt like she "just didn't care about their daughter as much as him" if she was wanting to move on to the best of her ability. It's sad, but so many couples separate after losing a child. It completely changes your personality and you aren't always compatible with your spouse after that :(
