@@geeclatters6121 my comment shows that I understand bands get old, voices don't last and Barnsey cannot sing like he used to - he can barely sing live anymore. Why not develop a new iteration of cold chisel. If you're nostalgic for the past, buy a live DVD or their album...

I totally agree that Ian is the better singer, but I am starting to appreciate over time the musical dynamic of having two contrasting singing styles in harmony. And yes, the glue was Don Walker, an amazing pianist and song writer. Cold Chisel appeals to an immensely broad Australian and NZ audience (in particular) because of their musicality and their rough and readiness to rock for the so-called 'common man (and woman)".

Its true Mossy the last i heard is a far better singer all round than barnsey is today. When yu say its time for Barnsey to move on n let someone else replace him, yu better jump back on that horse yu rode in on and fuck back out of town, with that sort of garbage mate. Thats blasphemy. A simple solution would be song selection, there are still a shitload of fuckin classics that he can sing, and those that he strains to make, mossy kills it anyway. Why is there talk of a reunion.
