For those of us who are stumped, what metal wire and gauge are you using for the actual sharp part of the pin? Thank you so much for these videos. They truly are fabulous!
@amuckdesign3 жыл бұрын
I like to use a stainless steel 19 gauge wire that I buy from my hardware store. It comes wound in a spool. I file it a bit narrower at the sharp tip to maybe an inch back.

Thank you! I will stop there tomorrow. My last attempt was 20 gauge stainless - close, but too bendy. On impulse I bought 16 ga brass - what was I thinking?

@@serenafenton9446 sounds like some brass chain making in your future.😀 I love just having different spools of wire hanging around.

Very informative, TY! What gauge silver did you use for the back? ~ Sheri

I usually like to use 22 gauge for most things.

If I don’t have dapping ‘bars’, how do I tap down the tubing?
@amuckdesign Жыл бұрын
You can use a ball peen hammer to flare out the tubing, it works perfectly.

I have heard that tabs are quite tricky and hard to get correct. Is this so? And do you have videos teaching on cold connection found objects that are not flat like a cab? Not wire wrapping. thx
@amuckdesign Жыл бұрын
I don’t find them terribly tricky, just takes a few times I think in order to know where and how many you need. I think everything in the videos I have up right now are fairly flat.
