@sadiesoaps Жыл бұрын
Oranges often lighten after soap cures, and yellow often is darker (some turn orange) in raw soap. It takes a lot of soaping to get an idea of what the cured color will be, especially when mixing. I got lucky this time that it was almost exactly the color I was going for. Keep soaping and don’t be afraid to make mistakes with your colors and designs 😊

This was such a pleasure to watch! I’m new to soapmaking and I think when I tried the first time, I might have blended too long so when I tried to split into 3 bowls to color them, it was already starting to harden up a bit. But hey you learn by trying and watching others. Yours seems more runny than mine was so I’ll try to aim for that the next time I try 😄

I just subscribed today after watching countless of your videos one after the next. I must say that your jaw-dropping swirling skill is out of this world. I’m just starting out soaping for college funding making basic plain soap with drop swirls. I would love to bring up my skill to be able to swirl like you but it just feel impossible 🙃 at the moment. How do you keep your batter so fluid for so long?
@sadiesoaps Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and subscribing! My batter actually sets up very fast compared with many soapers because of the high butter content due to soaping palm free. I am very careful about the amount of stick blending and temperature. I also use fragrance oils that do not accelerate.

How didn't you get any soda ash on top? I am having a hard time with texturing the top of the soap because then I can't cover it properly. Have you covered your loaf?
@sadiesoaps Жыл бұрын
I have more issues with fatty bloom than soda ash because I have a high butter content in my soap, but to prevent ash I spray with 99% alcohol, then I put my soap in a small plastic tote. I have a heating pad under it and cover with a blanket. If u have trouble with ash, try spraying the top with sparkle plenty by mad micas. It shimmers and hides the ash.

Is the oil that is used to mix the colors subtracted from the recipe or is it extra? Thanks.

So nice... I have started to try making soap... I tried this design, but my soap batter became very thick and it was not fluid like yours. This has happened to me several times, can you please explain why? What temperatures are you using for lye and oils? I would like a hard and skin softening vegan soap receipe. Would you recommend one... Your soap is so fluid and lasts a long time to work with designs... Thank you for sharing.
@sadiesoaps8 ай бұрын
I am soaping around 85-90F. Are you blending too long? If not it may be the fragrance oil you have chosen or the amount of water you use. I made a video of the recipe I use most often. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmGklJ5tos-qjrMsi=N6sn3sQ936swWx9f
