That '39 A made me jump - had my headphones up, enjoying the put-put-put when BANG!
@kyleweber339210 жыл бұрын
haha well thanks! Those old two-cylinder machines are a lot of fun. The 39 does like to pop when it's choking for fuel, too. I usually try and brace myself for it ;)

Boy you got a lot of tractors over there! And it sure looks nippy cold too. How many helping hands you got on a typical Plow Day? I used to hang out on my Grandpa's Oklahoma Farm back in the early '60's. I believe he had a JD Model A that he bought used in '56 (that definitely had the Dreyfus front end grille stylin'). Wondered how we could fight the rust growing on your *JD* *2010* at frame 6:50 ? If I was farming, do I wipe down the Tractor dry everytime I return it to the Barn? Then spray a light coat of WD40 or something? This is exactly how I do my Costume Fabrication Tools here in Hollywood California these days.

@KyleWeber9 жыл бұрын
The 47 A is original paint, but the 39 A has had a paint job at some point (before I got it).

I have a 1944 John Deere b hand start and I can't get mine to start in the winter
@KyleWeber7 жыл бұрын
Typically a Deere two-cylinder will always fire within the first few revolutions, regardless of the temperature (we get down below 30--but I usually don't start them much below zero). It's probably something like your timing being slightly off, low compression, weak mag, etc.
@austinjonas42647 жыл бұрын
Kyle Weber found out I have low compression and it's in time

What was behind 47 a
@KyleWeber9 жыл бұрын
Thanks Joshua for watching! It's a Model H series 47 JD manure spreader. As well as a No. 58 Sickle Mower, and 55 H plow. Back further there's also a two newer Hesston manure spreaders.

I got a 1941 model a that has a push starter
@KyleWeber7 жыл бұрын
Electric start was an option starting in 1939. I think most were hand starts at that time, however, It wasn't a standard option until the 1948 model year. 1941 would be a great machine!

Kyle you should buy a 530 tractor
@KyleWeber7 жыл бұрын
haha I'd love one!! If I saw a 520/30 for sale at a descent price and somewhat close, I'd jump on it in a hurry!
