With cold steel you here everyone talk about triad lock but it's rad to know they have flippers and liner locks I'm new to cold steel they are qiukly becoming my favorite brand

I like it and Cold Steel does a great heat treat no matter what steel they use. For me, this being a flipper is a bonus!

Will you ever do a reveiw of a Gerber 06 auto or Gerber 06 manual? It has an interesting plunger lock. Wonder what you think of it? I couldn't find a video of you reviewing it, maybe I missed it. So I wanted a cold steel folder with a finger flipper, for fast deployment. I noticed the prolite and the ones with the Trias locks are indeed stronger, but can't really be flipped with the index finger. I have the Luzon, and it's perfect, just illegal AF in my state. This is perfect. Cold steel quality, under 25$, and can be deployed quickly at legal carry length! Any thoughts on other good Cold Steel flippers? I'd like to see a Kershaw KVT ball bearing on a Cold steel knife!

The Crawford 1 is a great knife. Same lock system. It took a beating.

Civivi knives have alot in same price range and are better in quality for folders I do love me some cold steel tho

Civivi makes good stuff, but I wouldn't trust any Civivi over this knife. The extra lock makes it far stronger. That being said, it's not a fidget type blade. So, I can see your point.

4034 is in the same class as 420hc.

@@Jimislash 420hc is a popular one used by Buck. They're heat treat is great. 4034 is produced by Krupp. Same class but heat treats vary widely.

Has anyone ever had any trouble with Cold Steels linear locks?

The lock on my Crawford 1 got a little front to back wobble, but only after I seriously abused it. However, with the secondary lock in place, it wasn't a problem.

I got this from the history channel: The Colt 45 was invented by gun designer John Browning and made by the Colt firearm company and is one of the most famous military handguns of all time. The M-1911 had its official birthday on 1911 when the government was looking for a reliable man-stopper to replace the wimpy 38 caliber pistols that were in service. The Colt 45 became the weapon of choice for the U.S. Army, Navy, and the Marine Corps. In 1924, the 1911 was modified slightly and re-designated the 1911-A1. In 1983, the 45 automatic was retired after 72 years of loyal service.

Very biased review. You literally tried to make that knife look better than it is. At box cutting it's noticeable you used lots of force. And those "hits" into wood were light. 4034 is serviceable steel, but not for hard or extensive use. And yes, I do own Cold Steel Outdoorsman Lite in 4034 and it's hands down the worst knife I own. It's the fastest to get dull, and only knife I have that suffered rolled edge and bent tip.

garbage steel. wtf cold steel raise prices and now sell 4034 steel. keep Aus 8 for your budget. 4034 isn't even a knife steel. the new prices are getting redic. I got my ad10 for 135 or 140 I just saw it's 185 now? i own a ton of cold steels and I love the brand but the price hikes and 4034 suck. I like the Aus 10 range but that doesn't mean you jack up the s35vn. p.s. I'm having a bad day😂
