I love that they challenge the notion that HBCU lines are “dirty.” This is everything great about show band while being extremely detail oriented.

Who says they are dirty? Some of the best and most consistent collegiate drumlines are HBCU drum lines lmao.

Most hbcus are crazy clean the issue is not everyone like the tuning so they just deem it as dirty

@@zaishaw6602 depends on your likes because if you look at NCCU they tune their snares low and it sounds and feels good to listen to especially with the intricate parts they play that contrast to then tonal bases multi and single toms. Lower tuning doesn’t automatically equal dirt
