Interesting machete

I wonder if this machete is still produced or went discontinued. Here in Europe is basically barely impossible to find one :-)
@NutjobwithaMachete5 жыл бұрын
Chris LXXIX I think they might have discontinued it in favour of some of their newer models.
@NutjobwithaMachete5 жыл бұрын
And I talked to CS and it still available, but not in high quantities. That's probably the cause of the scarcity.

@@NutjobwithaMachete Yep, that's what I think as well, altough in the U.S market, online, I could find one :-) Btw, would like to ask you something, my man: I've saw Cold Steel vids with this 'ballistic gel' cutting etc now, how much is reliable that, compared to a human body, for you? IMO that seems too "jelly" and not that realistic.
@NutjobwithaMachete5 жыл бұрын
Chris LXXIX it depends on the recipe, but yeah, it's really bouncy and actually only really simulates puncture wounds well. That's why I moved over to meat test for my later review.

Kipper White in the video? It’s my grandpa’s hunting knife. I got it after he passed. Custom for him.

do you have a kukri machete and if so, how does it compare for chopping
@NutjobwithaMachete8 жыл бұрын
+GoldplatedIronfist I haven't picked up the kukri machete yet, so I can't compare them. However, I did test this against my regular kukri and I like the power of the kopis much better on the chops. When I pick up the kukri machete I'll let you know how they compare.

+Nutjob with a Machete thanks man, I'm getting ready to go on a week long hike, so I'm collecting the best compact gear
@NutjobwithaMachete8 жыл бұрын
GoldplatedIronfist The barong machete from Cold Steel is great if you don't have to deal with large saplings. Plus it's very light. Just be careful - that's the one that nearly took my finger off (check the review for the damage).

+Nutjob with a Machete will it chop wood well though? it would be my only wood processing tool
@NutjobwithaMachete8 жыл бұрын
GoldplatedIronfist For sticks up to around 3" it should be fine, but it's thinner than the other machetes so anything larger than that it might have issues or you might have to work a bit.

is the metal full tang and are those guards full tang ?
@NutjobwithaMachete8 жыл бұрын
The handle is full tang and the metal does go into the guards, but I'm not sure how much metal is in those guards (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqipdpZ9j9JnoLM - the magnet sticks, but not really strongly). Thanks for asking.

This or kukri machete plus ?
@NutjobwithaMachete7 жыл бұрын
For me, this one. The price point is a bit better and, even if the blade is a little thinner, this one chops really well. Plus I find that handle is actually pretty comfortable in the hand. Thanks for asking.

Greek plural kopídes - ***"kopisi" wouldn't even be correct if the word were Latin.
