Rare to find one of those OSI's nowadays but the OSS is nice for those into double edge ,two good knives.

7:03 Maybe not you. But Timothy Treadwell should have had one with him when a 25th grizzly took him for a lunch. Then again, he should not have camped right on the grizzly trail with his girlfriend. He took risks that cost him his life and also of that of his girlfriend and als the bear. The bear was just being a bear. They are not Teddy Bears.

the OSI is not a "hunting" knife as you stated, it was developed as a fighting knife and modeled after their Black Bear Classic (though being a single edged version). The second hilt is actually called a 'sub hilt' For camping or bushcraft leave this one at home and take a SRK.

@@TheJerry834 yeah it's still a knife, the OSI was specifically designed as a fighting knife just with a single edge so that CS could get them in to places that have rules against double edge knives.

@@waveman0 It can be designed for something and still be good at others, I think it makes for a suprisingly good main blade.

@@TheJerry834 agreed but I think CS makes different knives specifically designed as camp knives that suit better. The Trail Master, Recon Scout and SRK come straight to mind.

I have a osi, best bush knife . The thick back if the blade makes it a good tool for splitting wood and it stays sharp.
